What do you guys think? My friend did the sketch in paint, I colored it for him. So just crit the coloring (I suppose you could crit the sketch and I'll tell him what you think lol)
The first is the straight pixel. The second is with some light blurring.

figured I'd give the sketch for comparison purposes.

I'm rather new to this, and I'm not sure what it means to have like 25 views with no comments yet lol. This was my first particularly intensive use of pixeling. Its done with a program called compositor which is essentially paint with some simple filters and some other minor features. I used as if it was paint on this though, minus the small blur filter on the second image. Any advice or crits are welcomed, just trying to get some practice in this stuff and some of the better pixel artists I've seen are pretty active here on the graal forums.

Complexion needs to be lighter. Sample some of the same shades you already have in certain areas, and make them darker to go in and fill in shadows. Lighten those same shades for highligts. Also, the brownish splotches in the hair should be taken out, as the hair looks alright without them, and make sure that your shadows and highlights are all coming from the same light source.

Did you create the outline using a picture? Or did you just randomly add those white marks? Even if you did put the outline ontop of a picture, you did it well.

I just took that template you see in the second post and went from there. Thanks!
