eh...weapon idea
ya, i know this will have many flaws, but like ive stated, all ideas are good unless they're just different colors....so maybe my idea wont be good, but maybe someone will be like WAIT *makes it better*
all good ^^ right now its 8:26 in the mornin...soooo tired.....and in school......got nothin better to do so im postin this idea how about a grapple cannon/launcher/gun w/e youd like to call it it could do like roughly 25-27 damage and would bring back people right next to you, it would be good when its against those who run or jetpack (yes itd be able to hit jetpacks since all they're used for is running away which annoys me...and most likely everyone else, if not the majority) also, the not so low damage doesnt make it a bad weapon idea for fun rather than just bringing back, it doesnt really do tooooo much to lame with, by the time you kill a person your most likely about to encounter another, and im thinkin 25-30 energy use. this way you can use it 3-4 times and youd have to hit ALL to kill completely if any of you guys like the idea, elaborate on it, maybe help deciding the speed or somethin like i said its early and im tired so im not thinkin XD, plus in school so im def....not thinkin if someone already posted this idea or something similar to it, sorry, but you people know me, if its not on the 1st page ill basically assume it doesnt exist yet lol plus new comers can view this and help elaborate or something so..........ya.....gunna post now......k.......^^ |
The idea isn't bad at all, but it does need work. One thing that I can't seem to understand is that if you use a jetpack and fly into a mortar while it's in the air, it will explode on the ground, but not on you.
But about the weapon. It should be one-heanded, for one thing, should do 15 damage, use less energy, and have a slow rate of fire. Since it's one-heanded, you can equip an apripper (Which brings me to the classes: Sapper, Light Infantry, and Defender, maybe) in tho other hand so you can attack your opponent after using it. Maybe I went a little overboard with the suggestions... But what the heck, Touya told me to. |
I think it should just grab people off of bikes when they try to run and bring people downwards when they try to jetpack away.

i hear wat your sayin, but im thinkin all worlds lol i actually thought of somethin durin 2nd block when i zoned out if anyone wants to make it futuristic, how about it does 15 damage, uses like 35 energy, but has an electric shock that, when hit, (idk the exact word) but like....well this way, right = left, left = right, up = down, down = up, messes up with your movements if not i like what cor said with the 1 handed throwin out things people, throw some also ^^ |
15 Damage, does not use energy, it uses Ammo, the weapon shoots out a metalic pod that opens into a grapple when it hits the enemy and pulls the oponent if hit via electric current, has a 25% chance to instead not open, do 8 damage and not pull at all.
Damage: 15 if it pulls, 8 if it dosen't Speed: 16 tps Variance: 7 Energy use: 10 if it pulls, 0 if it dosen't Ammo: Grapple Pod (You'll have 75 and you can't buy any more from the shop to increase max) Freeze: 3 seconds |
I wouldn't use it, but I like the idea.

This weapon gave me an idea =O

Mind elaborating on your... "idea"?
I was going to post something about plasma saber+this thing, but Ako got there first :) |
Heh, I can spiffy this up a little:
grappleshot: Classes: all Effect: When fired, automatically homes on the enemy closest to the mouse position, at a speed of 6 tps (tiles per second). When it hits the enemy, the enemy will either be: Pulled off a speeder and sustain speed/5 damage Stopped in place if using a jetpack or pulled towards you if on normal melee ground. The grapple is lodged in the ground from where you shot it, and has 30hp. If an enemy is held by jetpack while the grapple is killed, they lurch forward for up to 3 tiles quickly and sustain 10 damage from the whiplash. On the grounds of slowing: tranquilizer Cost: 4000 Ammo: E-Dm1 Darts (3 per for 9 dollars) Effects: Shoots like a normal gun, but the bullet travels at an extremely fast speed (20-30 tps depending). Hits elevated players (e.g, on a jetpack) and hits players on speeders. Tranquilizers can hone if the player presses D to shoot and the target player is within 7 tiles of the mouse location. If a player is hit by the tranquilizer, they slow to 30% of normal walkspeed for 3 seconds, then speed up to 70% of normal walkspeed. Any player using a jetpack and is hit by it, will lose energy up to 4x more than normal for 8 seconds. Any player hit while on a speeder, slows to a halt within 4 seconds and is immobilised for 3. |

and you gave it hp, how many can you hold at once then? any idea? i like where your headin with it, but also remember...this isnt just for iricia so...it has to do some damage...example, deathmatch = no bikes or jetpacks = grappleshot is useless tranq. = not too shabby :) edit: me + 8 30 in the mornin + keyboardin class = lazy so, im shortening my post a lot lol, but you get the idea  |

look at the tazebombs, they were meant for wars and iricia, but people use them everywhere cause they do damage hence im usin the same concept here (usage wise) |
...
I might try my hand at making a sample image of it. Paint.net is awesome :) And there should be a secondary fire (Different firing modes depending on if it is equipped to "S" or "D") so that you CAN use it on other maps. Anyway, there needs to be something like this, people can just fly away after piping the crap out of a group of people. This will hurt Typhoon a lot xD |

finally, i said an idea and havent been scolded but people actually agree back on topic, secondary fire...good call...how about...a slash or somethin? personally, i think zone needs a weapon that messes with your movements (i.e. right = left, left = right) however that could be considered/used for laming (what isnt these days though?) maybe for a secondary fire....does like 10 damage, maybe takes up like 12 energy, and messes up the victims movements for like....2 seconds? 2nd thought: what about a grapple-slash? eh...you guys do details =] 3rd thought: what about....a grapple impact? (titled lol) like...you slam it into the ground and its like an attack thats shaped like a circle (like around you), looks like energy, idk how big you want it, maybe does like 25 damage, energy use of 30? idk, throwin out random ideas, hopefully a good 1 will come of it, if not by me, by someone else im more of an elemental/psi person...im not good with futuristic stuff so.....ya lol.... |
How would u wind it back up would it be auto-matic? Or would u have to press a button a certain amount of times?
|
How about if you make the secondary fire the wind up? It'd be fun to grab barrels and other npc's...
|
It seems I have struck a nerve.
*Writes Down: "Typhoon doesn't like it when people say he lames..."* Anyway, I've been experimenting with paint.net. Maybe I'll try a crappy GFX of it soon. EDIT; I only read Typhoon's post. Sorry. Anyway, i think just a 5-shot reload system would work well for secondary fire, Bullets would do 10-15 damage, shoots 2 in a row? By the way, slow fire rate, bullets travel about medium speed. |

im not saying add it....im saying if it were to be added it would have to be capable for being fun in all worlds please read my posts more carefully... |
Since wen did zone become "The world of crap guns no one wants" The games fine as it is gun wise if anything they need to start removing things over than adding em in.. Like they removed goonader from spar.. That was smart those things was iritating.. Back to the point.. wich i always forget...
|
i dont see anyone saying this idea sucks ^_^
and....goonader should NEVER be removed....i love that thing :D |
Pssh i agree its very crazy but also it ruined my SR so Im not happy with it xD
