Update trouble (Mac)

In Login1's update menu it says that I have version 4.03 (Local) of Graal, and it says that version 4.0302 (Current) is available. When I click "Update" the new version does not download. The download progress window pops up, but it just says "All files are OK!".

What gives?

Hmmm interesting
Do you have a file "graal" in your Graal folder (not the program itself, just a 9 Mbyte file) ?

The only file named "Graal" in my Applications/Graal folder is the application itself.

Perhaps I'm not understanding the question very well.

Hmmm Eventually also look into ~/.graal/graal4 ?
Clicking on "Reinstall" doesn't help either ?

There is another Graal.app in the hidden folder. I'll try 'reinstall' when I get back home, my school has the port that Graal uses blocked.

I just have another question though: Why is all of this other stuff, like screenshots, levels, and music folders, etc stored away in a hidden folder?

Ok it seems to be bugged, will try to upload a new version in a few days.
To get the latest version you can probably download it again, and then copy it to your Graal folder incase you are not starting it directly from the Graal4 volume.

About the hidden folder: it is storing the downloaded and temporary stuff there, since it is not guaranteed that the user has root rights it is storing them in the user folder. You can still add a symbolic link if you want to access it simplier.

I've tried clicking the 'reinstall' button and I get the same message.

I also accidentally renamed my .graal folder and it wouldn't let me rename it correctly. This meant that the next time I opened graal all of my settings were gone. I had to retype my account/pass and stuff... When signed onto Login1 the Graal Executable started to download automatically. In the update window it still shows the same message as the one I posted in my first post.
