So uh

Doomsday isn't on the hosted tab anymore. No one knows why.

Malinko 01-10-2006 05:54 AM

Hi.

I do not know the reason.

Though does it matter?

I know the Hosted tab is for playerworlds that wish to show a preview to its content, but Doomsday wasn't active or so. Always hearing news on the forums, but seeing no real progress on the playerworld itself.

I mean, there is no "real" rule requirement that a playerworld has to be on Hosted tab to go to Classic tab.

So.

napo_p2p 01-10-2006 06:18 AM

It didn't go back on after the problems with the server names.

CidNight1142 01-10-2006 10:33 AM

It was quite active. We just didn't sit 15 idling RCs on it at all times.

Sacred Shadow 01-10-2006 04:53 PM

It was blocked off to players, for a long time, and now that it wasn't, no one even ply4ed it and there was never any updates... Enough said, I think.

Malinko 01-10-2006 06:45 PM

Just as Ol' West was removed from the Hosted tab because it was locked to staff members.

It goes for the same reasons for others.

Active? I don't see a lot of progress on Doomsday.

CidNight1142 01-10-2006 08:13 PM

I'm sorry I don't recall DD being locked to players. I logged onto it just a few days ago and walked around and chatted with Hiro. I'm not staff.
And there were many updates, DD had an issue with a staff member deleting many of the scripts and whatnot and Hiro had just recovered all of that and was implementing some of the final touches. Troubles with Doomsday On the DD forums he was quoted as claiming DD being "89% done. Had you actually entered DD, saw past the unconnected levels (The last step) and checked to see that the inside levels were pretty much all uploaded and connected, and the NPCs were almost entirely completed and upped.

Wormx2 01-11-2006 04:33 AM

Too the hidden eye, DD looks dead. I have made various updates and such on my forums (Currently down due to mySQL errors) and on here. Much of the updates are putting the server back together. It was almost done.

I'm not mad that it was removed, I just don't know why it was removed.

Thanks for playing. Have a safe trip home.

If you're so ready to be on the hosted list, just apply to be put back onto the hosted tab, show the people WHAT You have updated, if it's impressive it will be put back up, not like anyone actually plays doomsday anymore.

What is with this? Not like anyone plays....A hosted playerworld under development?? No one PLAYS the hosted servers. You go, check out whats happening, and leave. You PLAY it when it is on the classics tab and complete. No one knows if Doomsday will be played until it is released to the classics tab. So for god's sake, get over the completely unbased negative attitude.
