Brigid Anomalies

Apparently, some people have found a way to wield weapons while worshipping Brigid. If you hotkey a tool to 'o' and a weapon to 'p' and press them at the same time, you can equip a weapon that will show up as tool graphics, allowing Brigid users to wield weapons. Also, Brigid users cannot open Haunted House doors, since they only use magic and barefists. Can this be changed so that Haunted House doors can be opened without use of weapons?

Butz 12-27-2005 05:18 AM

As far as I know, you can open HH doors with only bare fists.

A Chuck Norris style roundhouse kick works for me.

Shawn, if you start that stuff here, I will personally strangle you.

The Brigid weapon bug needs to be fixed immediately.

xAndrewx 12-27-2005 11:09 AM

It was fixed in the last update? when GK was converted to GS2.
Will test on debug anyhow

Draenin 12-27-2005 11:18 PM

I stand corrected. Roundhouse kicks will work. However, Brigid users can still wield weapons in the form of tools. Many people now are using the bug in order to get Brigid's Earth Shield. I saw some folks today passing stuff back and forth over trade tables that pertained to wisdom and power gaining, one of which was the Holy Golden Edge. Since the people were both wearing Shields of the Earth, and since the Holy Golden Edge gives Wis +1, I can only assume that it was used to abuse the bug in order to get the shield. When talking to someone today, they claimed that the only way to get the Shield of the Earth was to use the weapon glitch. (Since it requires 300 / 600 grace to obtain.)

Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer.. Too bad he has never cried.

When I was Brigid I got the Earth Shield without a weapon weilded. But as far as I know the bug is being abused.

Draenin 12-28-2005 03:39 AM

I was told flat-out by a person that he'd used that method to get 300 grace. It needs to be resolved soon, or people will be able to continue fighting melee while wielding a very powerful set of armor that's meant for mages. Also, what's with the wc and str bonuses on the gloves? Mages really don't have much of a use for that.

OasaTor_PK 12-28-2005 03:49 AM

Now I see how Maroku was doing 50+ damage on me with a torch, aha, he abuses another glitch!

gg!

Draenin 12-28-2005 06:52 AM

Yes, gg to the nubwich.

I was told it's for their fists.

Yea, since they can't wield weapons.

I'm not sure if that was sarcastic or not, but what I meant to say was: "I was told it was originally intended for their fists."

No, I meant it sincerely - under normal circumstances (if I'm right) they can't wield weapons.

Draenin 12-28-2005 10:05 PM

If there is a Brigid user out there that can break -80 AC with fists, there is something terribly wrong.
