Level

Hey guys i got a new level for you to rate, tell me how you like it.
|
I suppose overall its a good level, but there are certain things I just don't like about it.
I don't like the waterfall part, or the way you did the layer on the right side. I also don't like how you ended the cliff on the sand just abruptly like that, and I don't like how the sand changes from light to dark- in random little spots. Some of the detailing looks weird to me too. 4 or 5/10 |
Dark in the sand is called mud, which are tiles i recently made (recolored for use). The top right is a little plain up there (forgot to detail before i took pic) The cliff ends suddenly cause theres really no way to make it look good with pics1 tiles. I mean i could wrap the cliff around horizontaly but i kinda wanted just a small beach. And i dont know what Layer your talking about on the right side, the cliff? lol how else is there to do it?
rate on guys. |
I like it :)

I know it's mud, doesn't mean it looks good.
Yes I meant the cliffing part, there are a lot of errors on the level in general. Advanced level makers on this forum that will eventually see this will agree with me and probably rate it how I did. You asked if there was a correct way of doing that right side cliff layer, well, I'm not sure if it's correct, but the way I did it works: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...chmentid=33407 I'm not sure if your cliffs are put together right, to be honest, you'd have to ask WanDaMan about that, he's the master of cliffs, i'll give him that. The level is visually appealing, but by a skill-point level it lacks and loses points. Sorry. |
Sorry. -_-
Its not like your hurting my feelings lol, and yes my cliffs are put together right, there put together like they should be and they look correct also. As for your link it doesnt work for me. Also i am aware there are some tile errors throughout the level, however not enough to make me concerned about. |

I also just got done another level if u'd like to rate this one as well. Its actually the right level of the one i originally sent.

This is all from a personal standpoint, I'm not LAT but I believe I can judge levels fairly well.
First level: Waterfall: Overall, pretty nice. I don't like the dark water around bottom though, makes it look very unnatural. Cliffs: I think the cliffs are okay. However, when you go from a diagonal tile to a straight one on the top layer, it isn't flowing. Not sure if that can be fixed with pics1. Grass: I like the grass detail but I don't like when you used the dark outlined grass and the dark green outlined grass right in the middle of the same line/section. For example, the top left corner after the small patch of grass where the big patch meets...it looks okay I just don't like it. Okay and the house thing? Uhhhhh....definitely do not like that. The cliff on the water stopping abruptly on the water also looks funny. When all else fails, make a graphic. Aside from some tile errors (one very noticable on the cliff), it's good. Second level: pretty much the same comments, but I noticed that I think the perspective on the mud sand is wrong. The shading around the top doesn't look right. There's also a tile error in the bottom right pond. The grass could use a bit more detail. From these two levels, good job with pics1. It's hard to work with. Keep it up! |
I like these levels, and I think they would look better without the tile errors. For some reason, the error in the water bothers me. I would say they are semi-eyecandy (if that makes sence), and I enjoy looking at them. I am not too fond of the detail in those levels, though. :(
I rate 6/10. Good job for not making levels in a few months. Keep it up! |

Well you can talk to stefan about the mud sand shading because all i did was recolor sand around a tile that was suposed to be mud in the snow level. Also how can two different levels have the same comments? There is no water fall in this or a river. And i dont see your tile error in the pond. |
