A hand

Here's a hand I drew, I was inspired by some of Da Vinci's gesture sketches :)

Well that's handy.

Mmm, yes, I've got to hand it to you, it looks pretty good.

Good job, though the white stuff on the hand does.. surprise me, you're a mod after all. ;).

was this done on a computer? it's very sketchy...there's only a few things i see wrong with it...

1) the index finger has a more right sideways view, rather than a straight on view (as the middle finger does)

2) the ring finger looks like it's broken or out of place somehow...(from the palm you start out going at and angle one way, then you start to curve the finger the opposite way...it doesn't look right with the way the middle, and index finger are facing)

3) the pinky finger is faceing towards the other 3 fingers when it should be going with them (the tip of the finger looks to be bending towards them)

4) the palm of the hand is longer than the width of the hand (aren't the palms of hands supposed to be wider than longer?)

5) dealing with the pinkey and the ring finger, it makes the hand look to be folded in half or something...

anyway besides those mentioned and the sketchy-ness of it, it looks good ^^

Yea, I did it in paint.

It's supposed to be a somewhat fish-eye view.

Yea, that was part of the "fish-eye" thing.

That's actually how my pinky is, a lot of people have that.

Actually like that :P

I didn't have my fingers fully extended - so it has a bent look to it.

I like it :)

Myomoto 12-05-2005 10:50 PM

High five.

If you were going for realism, your index finger was drawn too long.

Zero Hour 12-06-2005 12:18 AM

Think so? This isn't my hand, it's just one of the first I found on Google Image search - but it looks pretty close to me.

You did very well on that hand sketch, no noticable flaws.

Zero Hour 12-06-2005 01:47 AM

Thanks :)

Although I do feel the Index is a sausage in comparison with the other fingers.

That's really good, ive seen work in the same style, the sketchy look, it's really well done Zero :) Just one thing, make the Index finger a little smaller and it will look perfect, the rest is perfect. :)

CidNight1142 12-12-2005 07:38 PM

I think its really good, I really hafta hand it to you. ROFLCOPTER...........I hate myself.

edit...someone did that one already

uh uh....thats great work, I liked it upside down so I looked at it while doing a handstand.

Oh god why me?
