Transferring of Event Items

Recently we have been getting a lot of requests for event items to be transfered from one account to another. This has been done once and now it has been decided that it will not be done again. This is for the following reasons:
  • Event Items are supposed to be rewards, giving them to another person ruins the meaning of them.
  • On past servers this has not worked well. ie: GK Players quitting then just giving someone new their items and then they become a lot better.
  • If someone who is not a good PKer gets an Event Item then it makes who has event items unbalanced.

To all of you hoping to transfer your items to others we're sorry for the inconvenience.

Damix2 11-12-2005 02:30 AM

What about for people who get new accounts?

DrDrizzle 11-12-2005 03:25 AM

what about ppls that runs outa gold and they wanna transfer it to a friend

jkool666 11-12-2005 03:41 AM

Its quite obvious that they won't be making any more trades so no one should probably post on here anymore. Somone should probably close this also.

No, that would fall under the part of people giving their reward away which ruins the purpose of it.

Wind_Master 11-12-2005 04:36 AM

I agree, giving event items to friends is lame. So many newbs are using these event items nowadays and its irritating.

Dreth 11-14-2005 01:20 AM

I think it should be up to the person who earned the weapon to make that decision.... and I usually get teamed or lamed before my character loads up enough so I can move him, so I pretty much never win anyway =/

MisterMastermind 11-14-2005 03:19 AM

yeah and when you give it to someone it encourages other players to be nice in hopes that they may get the next event items.. (hoping so much that vulcan says "Oh I never saw it that way, I guess your right") (no way in hell that's gonna happen)

SayianOozaru 11-14-2005 03:37 AM

i say we just incorporate a trade system...that way if you are leaving, you don't have to bug staff about trading an item, or if you bought grenades, and see no use for them anymore, they aren't just sitting around, cause you'd be allowed to trade them with someone...

Wind_Master 11-14-2005 04:15 AM

Giving away free event items is crap. Someone such as myself can just win 10x redpistoles and give them away. It's stupid and it cancels out the reward of winning.

SayianOozaru 11-14-2005 04:43 AM

i thought once you won the event item (or have it) you weren't allowed to participate in the event again?

bahamutstevetff 11-14-2005 08:42 AM

well i still participate in them

anubis_wing 11-14-2005 06:30 PM

What if I ran out of gold and I made a new account p2p could I transfer my money, event weps, my experience?

Then that would be the most ridiculous thing to ever do.
Anyway, event items are there to be earned. Not for "Friends" to win them for other people, to once again make the game more unbalanced.

juice188 11-15-2005 04:34 AM

In that case shouldn't i get my bluepistoles back from andrewholmes.
I have brought this case up with vulcan and stefan about 2 months ago and its yet to happen X_X.
I understand you cannot do anything about it vulcan.

bahamutstevetff 11-17-2005 08:51 PM

I agree your not a noob so this conversation should have never happened. But you should tone down the comments about his family. We don't know him and we don't know if maybe someone did... So to end this arguement, Jin was the first to win Bluepistol's, redpistol's, and reapers therefore making him a non newb. And as for Dark, yes you are correct he didn't win "all" the event items but 3 of 4 is good.

u said it man...if u win somethin irl (since some ppl wont know wat that is...bc apparantly my grammar is illegible to read, ill define this abbreviation) in real life....anway in real life, if u win somethin, and u dont like it, wouldnt u give it to a friend or somethin? yes, cause its in ur posession, and ur decision

example is like...ur at a carnival, U win the prize to like a crane game or some kind of mini game...and ur prize choice is a stuffed bear or somethin....and u want to give it to ur gf, or want to be gf, somethin along those lines, U CAN and u WOULD

i can c wat ur aimin at admins, some ppl dont deserve the weapons, some shouldnt get them, winners should keep em, etc kind of deal

but the truth is....if its urs, u should b able to do wat u want with it

DrDrizzle 11-19-2005 05:50 AM

i agree...touya :D

bahamutstevetff 11-19-2005 07:30 AM

i dont agree, an overpowered weapon is a bit different to a fairground bear.

Ya. I personally think that if a player wants an event item they should win it and not have someone else win it for them.
