Versus Update (11/10/2005)
 

Okay, this update will go much more in depth then the other ones have.

Options Menu
Our options menu will allow you to change a few different aspects of the game. The screenshot will show what I mean:

Chat Log
This is a npc that collects all the chat that happens in you level. So if you run out to your car to grab something real quick, and someone says "Hey, my mom is telling me to get offline, I have to go!" when you come back you will be able to see why they left.

We are also working on a PKing system. What will happen is that a certain amount of kills will make you 'level up'. When you level up you can gain access to certain areas of the server that you previously may not have been able to. Also, we are eliminating deaths completely, seeing as it really only adds a negative side to PKing (People running, etc.).


Now for the Jobs:

Tree-Cutting
Pretty self explanitory. The only 'free job' on the server. And by that I mean that you can get the metal axe for free when you start. But metal and broze axes have a durability, gold does not. We are using the same trees that Babylon is, but we have recieved Malinko's permission.

Grape-Picking
[No screenshot currently]
With grape picking, after you buy the 'gloves' needed for grape-picking, then you can pick the grapes. After you get about 30 grapes, you can go into a building and smash them for wine. You can then sell your wine bottles to a wine collector in the underground market.


Mining
Once again, we are using Malinko's mining rocks. We were given his permission. Mining still has a lot of work to be done to it. We still have to determine how rare some minerals are, and we have to set up crafting.

Fishing
The only thing we currently have done are the GANIs.


Other jobs may be added and if they are I will post about them.



ETC Information

Effects
Yen made some nice Smoke and Fire effects that we will be able to use around the server. Below is a screenshot of the smoke in use and the fire/smoke in use together.

Map(s)

Here is a screenshot of what you get when you hit the 'm' button to look at the map. It shows the map, and everything that isn't land, is 100% transparent, so as you can see, you can still see a lot of your current level:

Anyway, in other news, we have permission from Graal Online to use all of the GFX that we are using. No, I will not say who we have permission from, because it is none of your bussiness. Anyway, now this thread will be for chat about the server.

Can I be staff?
Wow, doesn't that make me sound like a complete newbie? Oh well, I'm going to keep the sentence the same, you seem to be only hiring SFX people, which I don't care for. If only you were hiring LATs or something similar, I'd love to work for you guys.
