Energy Shield
 

People have been wanting a shield for awhile now but all the shield ideas have been rejected so far. This shield is rather simple. It has no special effects added to it (when equipped you look the same) but when equipped when damaged you will lose energy not hp until ur energy is all gone than you will start to lose hp (your energy will not re-grow when this shield is equipped). Anyone like this idea?

Well if you take time to think that phrase through it would make sense.
They want it because it would be fun to use. Yet, it is not implemented due to being unbalanced. :\

that, and u'd have to equip it to one hand, so u'd be able to use like 1 pistol with it on -__-

Uhm... That's a good thing. It helps to balance it more.

i no it'd balance it, but no one would wanna run around with one pistol -__-....i think we should added a type of Halo2 shield (the one's the covenent use) there like energy shields, but u hide behind them, u don't wear them....i think that would be a type of shield to put in game, but the shield would also only have like 85 hp, and once all that was taken out, it would have to regain the hp back (after like 2 min) i think i might try makin somethin like this :O

I wouldnt mind running around with 1 pistol. Like haunter said its more balanced.

i like sayian's idead much better because running around with a shield around you is kinda laming P.s. Rocket launchers, mortars,sword and explosives should kill the shields in 1 hit

Why are there bites taken out of it?

show it damaged ;) like you start out, the shields blue, then lets say at 60 hp it turns yellow, then at like 25 it turns red, bullet holes i guess :O

Looks horrible. A photoshop gradient could do the same job.

I'd rather not got buy another copy of a $500 program. Though I do believe it is a basic sun gradient, don't even need to create it.

How, pray tell, does an energy shield get jagged holes in it?

And if that were so, how would energy get to the parts of the shield above/around of the obtrusion, using your current design?
