Mac: Continuing problem - Files not downloading
 
I'm still getting this problem... The weird thing is, things like ganis will come and go. For instance, I was on 2k1 Dev... I could not see certian things (for example, Cheetos) but I could see myself realitively fine (Just no swim/ride ganis)

I tried closing, and reopening graal... Cheetos showed up, but when I ran around, I disappeared, my walk gani was gone!

My Graal folder, and all of it's subfolders have full read/write access open to everyone/thing.

Yep... Still having the same problem. Not sure what to check. The Graal folder had Read & Write for everything, and it's been applied to folders within...

Hmm, some people have also been having this problem with the Linux client also. Not sure as to a solution, though.

Also, whenever I reconnect to a server the map 're-shrouds' so I have to run around to reveal it again...

Edit: Another thing I should mention... if I log on in a specific place any tiles there will download with out a problem... but if i go somewhere else, reconnect, then return to the first place I connected to, sometimes the tiles are gone again.

Lance brought this to my attention... The files aren't saving to Applications/Graal/ they're going to Users/w0121747/.graal... I went to Users/w0121747 but there's no .graal folder... It must be hidden. Any idea how I can access hidden folders on a mac?

You can open a terminal and use the commands "ls" and "cd <path>"

I just used "open /Users/w0121747/.graal" and it opened. I changed all of the rights in that folder (and it's subfolders) to Read & Write. That did not work.

I then tried 'chmod -R 777 /Users/w0121747/.graal/' in the termnial... I am still getting these errors in Graal's Console...

Finally found the problem, the image loading code in Linux/Mac/3D version is bugged when an npc uses a txt file as image, causing an overflood of unclosed filedescriptors, then not being able to open/close files anymore. Will be fixed as soon as possible.

Lance has done a temporary fix on Graal2001 Dev. He just went around and removed all of the .txt files from the images of NPCs. Everything is working just fine now, so fixing the bug you mentioned should stop most if not all major problems in the Mac Client. :)
