I'm impressed. Era looks a lot better than it used to.

I like the Gym idea, too. It should be incorporated into something like a strength thing.

GFx could be better, but i liked it (i was just punching everyone who walked past me, lol)

Is this what Clash alluded to in scene 24?

Party/gang/business system. Shops. Lots of backend rescripting (eg, not visible to the average player). Major lag reduction especially with v4.

Cars are a huge improvement too , as well as "missions".

It's nice except for all the houses without inside levels, the 2 unexplained deaths I recieved from the npcserver, the q-menu not showing new items when I get them, and not healing while in a bed.

Let me guess, it isn't v3-compatable? z_z

But I mean what is so different? There were already shops and gangs and businesses on old era... Lag reduction is nice but I don't really see anything NEW....

We have fixed tons of stuff (script bugs, script exploits), improved a lot of things (e.g. movement, the map levels, bank accounts, a lot of the internals of the server), added several new things (cars, missions, the M map, party system).

so why not start work on a real server like classic?

That players see I'm assuming.

Parties, cars, revised overworld, interface/inventory, among some things.

If classic is anything, it isn't a real server.

Why use the old car graphics?

That implies there are new car graphics. Where are these magical car graphics you speak of? :O

ya, Era's *** now...i had $240 and lost all but $3...

From what i've seen so far it looks like they just merged Era with Bravo o_O;
Cars and Gyms and Casinos but with all the old Era stuff.

Era is a poor attempt at realism. Graal The Adventure was the best server to ever be, and currently is destroyed. Rather than working on a server with cartoonish at best graphics and guns that shoot poorly, why not restore classic to it's glory.

Hm. It's not so hard to take a little time to play the playerworld and earn your money back, now is it?
As Skyld said, this is a matter of opinion. Era is NOT meant to be like Classic. This is why the playerworld is completely different, it's called variety on GraalOnline.

It's still laggy.

Older Era had the gym.

Older Era had the casino.

Only thing upon new release that resembles Bravo in the /least/ bit are the cars...which are nothing at all like Bravo, other then them being automatobiles (if you want to call Bravo's that).

Absolutely zero lag on G4.

If its laggy try disabling directX and reboot graal and you will notice a significant change.

Anyhow it realy improved some graphics where retouched in a nice way but there is still enough work to do. I kinda thinks its release was to rushed a month or something like that more and getting rid of some beauty errors (tree's growing out of benches. Window's drawing over tree's) ect and other little annoiying things could have been fixed.

Maby even getting rid of the default graal body and using pre-coloured onces. But thats more like a matter of opinion.

But overall I think the new era is doing pretty good. Most servers that lost players are going on the "its only a one day fly" tour and not giving a rats ass. Wich is basicly the dumbest thing to do. Would like to see all of them lose dramastic playercounts and finaly actualy doing something.

Hello! My name's Skyld, and for the rest of this post, I am going to teach you why you should not disable DirectX.

DirectX is a set of APIs designed to let applications draw accelerated graphics either in 3D, or on a flat surface. It also allows network gaming and sound to be implemented, but at this time, that is irrelevant.

Graal uses these DirectX APIs to draw everything you see on screen in the Windows versions of Graal, besides the external windows, such as Options and the Playerlist.

So, why is it bad to disable DirectX components before playing Graal?

Simple! Because Graal won't be able to run.

Also note, that if you are using Graal 4, DirectX Light Effects are compulsory. This is actually a good idea, since people won't be able to ruin good levels by disabling lights. Yay!

Okay this must be the worst **** **** ive ever witnessed, I got out and was killed, lost all my ****ing cash getting ignorant ****s at me .. Era sucks even more now, cant even get a good earning without getting ****ing spitted on.
