Helicopter

Crono and I were talking about a new vehicle of some sort. We thought if Iricia was to be made bigger, how about a helicopter?

Each HQ would own 1 helicopter each. The helicopter can store up to 5 people each. 1 of them is the driver, this would be the first person to get in. The helicopter itself cannot shoot. Yet 2 out of the 4 people remaining could hang down from the helicopter on ropes. These people could then shoot opponents. The other 2 who are up back in the helicopter. Control the people on the ropes. E.g Someone is shooting from a rope, they take damage, they asked to be pulled up. The person pulls them up. Now they can either retreat or swap around.

The helicopter can be driven by 1 person if necessary. This person can then drive around picking up people in need. E.g If someone is being teamed and needs to retreat quicker they can be lifted up onto the helicopter. Or if you wish to take over a base, load up your helicopter with men and drop them off on a heavily guarded base where they can try to control it.

1 more thing, the person driving the helicopter must at least be the rank of a soldier or higher, otherwise they will just sit there and wait for a person of a high enough rank to come and drive them away. This hopefully should encourage teamwork and help prevent teaming by picking people up. The helicopter can only land on it's home pad. Also rocket launchers can take the helicopters down. It has 500hp. "If" you manage to take down a helicopter with all 5 people in it, you get 5 kills. Yet the helicopter will respawn after 15 seconds.

Does anyone like this idea?

Don't really like it it's like bringing a speeder into Iricia. You can't hit nor can you stop it.

How about "Reading" the thread. Instead of just the title. kthxbai

Personally I was thinking that the people who are going down the ropes can shoot but their sole purpose is to actually climb down the ropes and then begin owning a base. Personally this idea would work and isn't lame because I'd imagine it's easy to shoot it with a rocket launcher. The driver of the helicopter is screwed if the copter gets hit because he is not able to hope down the ropes and must be on the seat at all times until the copter has landed, then he can hop out.

Poor old driver. Watching the helicopter fall to it's death with a little driver in the seat screaming but immobile is sure to bring hours of laughter.
