I haven't made an inside level in awhile I was looking at some graal2k1 levels and I tried using there style tell me what you think?

Wormx2 10-07-2005 02:08 AM

I think that level fits in with Shaded Legends for some reason. It's good in my eyes.

farte6 10-07-2005 06:14 AM

THATS THERE STYLE O_O. What all the excitement about g2k1 then?

o and your levels pretty basic and simple. I could live with it.

Chicken_l33t 10-07-2005 07:05 AM

1/10 I dislike it. I don't like how you used the stair tiles. They look horrible. and the castle outline ground tiles look ugly with the thoses other tiles.

Hitmanjack 10-07-2005 02:24 PM

Ive seen a lot worse levels get better ratings. Its not so bad in my eyes o_O not great but not bad.

It's not suppose to be anything fancy just a basic level with me using old g2k1 level style I don't know anything about there new style or what style they are using.

Well, you must've copied there style real well, because the level looks familier. (I haven't played in ages)

It's still a good, plain level... Since that's what you were trying to accomplish.

Why're trees inside the house?

Hitmanjack 10-07-2005 09:27 PM

Knuckles 10-07-2005 09:44 PM

*their. If you said "there" you would be saying that you know their style and stating it as a fact.

O and i give your level a 3/10, im not really going for that look. How can trees be in a room.

Creativity...add some spunk, for fun.,,Make things look pretty. hehe.
Or, his house could be in a forest and thats just a border from outside.

One of my friends actually has a waterfall with plants and stuff in his basement. It's really cool looking. His fathers a landscaper.

These are really old but whatever. Most of you probibly have seen them a long time ago.

Nice levels Knuckles, but work on how you use the marsh tiles. Looks ugly in the first level. and perhaps not put the cup tiles on the edge of the table :o it looks good first glance, but then you notice it looks incorrect.

The second level is nice aswell, but the half grass is ugly, marsh aswell. Perhaps add some water detail, but only a little bit though.

As for 1/10 being quite low it probally is a bit low so I will give him 2/10 not much of a change, but my reason behind this is you tryed to use G2K1 styles. and didn't suceed the slightest.

I still find the G2K1 levels pleasing to look at, but yours was a bad copy :/

Thats really awesome, I have two questions though:

How can you get those lamps, and the tree tops to oscillate like that? I cant get them to do that without a little green outline, and it drives me insane.

The levels are well over a year old. The way I do the marsh improved before I quit. You can probibly tell from some of my other levels that I still have saved. Lol.
But thanks for the critique. Hehe.

If you'd like to look at some others I made over the years (These are not recent level either), I have some screenshots uploaded. I used to be a LAT long ago.

Some of them have a few tile errors because I never completed them, but oh well.

Just, in the NPC actually define the cordinates? Does that answer your question...?
x=15.5;
y=24.5;

Chicken_l33t 10-08-2005 04:34 PM

Nice levels Knuckles even for old ones XD they look very nice. Except for Knuckles test, but I assume that you were just testing tiles in there =D

I seen a few tile errors in the others, but aside from that if they were finished I'd rate them highly. =]

Knuckles 10-08-2005 04:37 PM

Actually, yeah. I didn't feel like making the graphics for that one to hide the tile errors because I quit like a day or two after.
(It was a level I made after not making a level for like 3 months, so I was just TESTING to see if I still had it-I was just linking them to show you that I knew how to do swamp). And after that, I then quit for awhile again. lol.

Wow, i'm sorry. I basically took the attention of this thread. Sorry to the creator.

petro1212 10-13-2005 10:14 PM

lol treetop.png inside >.> I used to do that ALOT when I still worked on Rudora 2 years ago or so...

It was the easier thing to do... It automaticly hides walls so I didn't have to detail them as much :O...

Anyhow nice level tho
