Why not? Its a good option.

Good idea.
It also annoys me when someone PM's me from another server, and there is no button to reply.
Is that because they don't have it where people can PM them from other servers in options?

This will invariably lead to a lot of OMG WHY AM I NOT ON YOUR BUDDY LIST drama.

Just provide an option to disable global PMs. If someone wants to PM me, she can connect to my server.

There already is one :P. Look in the playerlist options.

Well, maybe my situation is different. If I don't ignore global PMs, it seems like I have an almost steady flow of them -- keep in mind that only people with a VIP account can use the global playerlist right now, so I can't imagine how it will be when everyone can. At the same, I do like when some people (e.g. my 'buddies') PM me from other servers and vice versa. So this option would be a lot more ideal for me and probably quite a few other people, even if it's just so they aren't randomly harassed and massed/spammed by people on other servers.

Definitely make allowing global pm's from buddies an option. Once V4 is in full use the onslaught of pm's is going to be annoying, especially if you're a staff member and constantly bombarded by people complaining. If its that important. Let them come to me.
