npc doc for gscript2

Now that Graal 4 is out (great job by the way)
when are we going to get an updated version of the npcprogrammiing.doc
that explains how gscript2 works?

Or if an equivelant instruction manual in a concise, organised form already exists for gscript2, where can I find it?

Ugh, did you even bother looking around this forum? -_-

Make your own.

I am referring to a file that would come with graal when you download it.
If Stefan made the first npcprogramming doc, and has now changed the language enought for it to be a second version, then it makes sense that the author should make another document explaining his language.

There is no document that comes with Graal that explains GS2.

Exactly. Stefan should make one, as he did to explain the first graal script to folks. If I were try to make 'one' on my own, it would be as an immigrant from another country trying to speak the native language, having nothing as a refrence other than a dictionary (in this case, the links provided above).
And compilers are a lot less forgiving then human conprehension of speech.

Have you written one yet?

It should, in reality, be stickied.

I was working on a command.rtf type document that contained examples as well as descriptions of functions, but there were too many duplicates of commands and 3D commands. I got lost. There were also random commands that I've never seen used, or have any idea how to use.

For example, findFileExtension(str) and getExtension(str)... Which should be used? They both seem to return the same thing. I also didn't know what to omit, because it was deprecated, and what not to omit.
For example.. Is the isleader condition usable?

Prozac is right.

When I first got GraalOnline and played with the editor, I found npcprogramming.doc and it got me started in scripting and taught me how to do things. Since GraalOnline uses a new scripting language, it would only make sense that it be updated. You shouldn't have to go to some mock Wikipedia to learn.

Do you, uh, not understand what a wiki is? 'Cause the survey's coming up negative.

The Graal Wiki has been extremely helpful for me as a resource for GS2 information.

Too bad it's down right now :(.
