Detailing Grass
1 Attachment(s)
This is bothered me for the longest time, when I am making levels I try to detail them as best I can but, when applying grass to the level, it never looks right. I was wondering if there is a method that people use to tile grass without overusing the tiles and making the grass look odd. I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers.

Everyone has their own style, so I'm going to bet you'll get 20 different answers here.
I like to use most of the grass, flower, small stone/green bits for my detailing. I'll then fill sections up with the cut swamp tiles. I'll shove in clumps of bushes too. I don't do the half bush/half stem thing like you can see in my example anymore. I also like to use the holes made by signs. Over lapping grass is also another thing I like to do. I use blades a lot and tend to use flowers and such now and there.
