The answer to why we play Graal Kingdoms
 

Please dont bash this thread, this really means alot to me, so thats why i am sharing it!

ok, well, i think, that graal was made just to make our lifes worthless, it will ruin our relationships, our lifes, and everything that we have, what i am saying is graal kingdom is just something to make our minds work harder. ok, listen, what are you really doing on graal, are you playing for stuff, or are you "Working" for stuff, tell me that answer. Also, I think that graal was made and is still going because these people want to be better than every one else, thats what keep graal going, is the erge of people to be better than others, thats what it is about, thats also why they have the /hiscore list! Its not about us people being happy and fun to play it, how many times during the game do you laugh. You dont even smile!

Just like any other game, you play to be better than everyone else.

There's two kinds of people in the online gaming world. The most obvious being the ones trying to be the best. The other kind, and sadly they are the minority, are those who are there to have fun. Of course both catagories and be broken down into sub-classes, like those who wish to have fun are the RPers and the people that come on to chat, but overall we have those two types of people.

The way you described Graal could be used to describe any online game.

But! What really keeps Graal going is those who want to have fun. Day after day things are made by those who want to have fun for the people who want to be the best.

Tell me, could you be working towards getting those 'l33t' items if somebody didn't make them? Nope.

well, im just trying to get an answer if this is even 1% right, because it feels to me that it is ruining my life, 30 pounds on in 4 months, thats not very good, and im to fat as \it is, well, sorry GK, but i wont be playing as much!

Eh, if you're getting fat from playing Graal, then I pity you.

I've always been a pretty skinny guy. Graal doesn't give me extra weight. But it does, however, diminsh my posterior. (Gamer Arse Syndrome.) From behind, it just looks like back, back, back, legs.

I can't gain weight.
Actually this past year I've lost 30 pounds...for unknown reasons.
Am I dying? Doctors can't tell. They don't know what's wrong. :cool:

Anyway, just limit the time you sit in front of the computer, or the time you sit in front of the TV. You should spend more of your time doing active things, then you spend on the computer or TV.

Any hobby can be bad for you, if you spend too much time doing it...

Especially if you hobby involves jumping off of things :D (And if you're going to argue with me, please take up this hobby ;))
No but seriously, you can't blame graal for anything your the one who goes on it every day. The fact is, you like the game, so you play it. That’s like blaming Ben and Jerry for your obesity. (Don't laugh, people do it all the time). And if you think graal is making you skinny, put your computer in the kitchen :D

More seriously, I didn't lose any relationships too Graal. Plus, I got to meet a bunch of awesome people by playing Graal.

I don't think this is the case for most people, but I guess for you, playing 2K2 requires a major mental leap.

Playing. Questing beats the pants off the old D-jobs of 2K1.

Yeah, that's probably the general idea.

This case is about the means, not the ends. That's like saying "SUPER MARIO ISN'T ABOUT HAVING FUN! IT'S ABOUT BEATING BOWSER!" If you said that, you may not be wrong, but you'd be ignoring the fun you have in the process.

For all the crazy hijinks, I actually don't laugh that often, but I do smile a lot.

I've been playing Graal for a long time, now. It's hard to believe I've been playing it for nearly 1/3 of my life, which, I guess, isn't much since I'm only 19.

Oh, my computer chair would love a break, and I'm sure my mother would love to walk up here and check here email without asking me and recieving an annoyed grunt in return.

But I can't blame Graal for my laziness. Sure, you'll find me within a finger's reach at almost all hours of the day - but I really enjoy the Internet, not just Graal. I sit here for hours reading information. I work on design projects based on new knowledge I've acquired, I do art for Graal, I read the news.

I really like talking with people, and for me Graal is just another mode of talking to people. It's like a spiced up chat client.

I would surely hope that Graal does not restrict your life...

And people play Graal because the average every day player makes the game. Not to become better then the other person or to collect the most gralats.

I laugh a lot, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. =]

Well apparently you hang out with the wrong people, If you would actually take some time away from all the fighting, arguing, and PKing, and actually get to know these people that play graal, most of them are human beings like we are. I actually laugh alot in this game. If you acually get to know some of these people they are pretty cool and have a lot in common with everybody else. This is a place made to escape if people are fat, ugly, nerds, or anything else. It is a place to come hang out and have fun with people from all over the world. Me and Draxx barely even play the game anymore because we chat so much with people. It is awsome learning about the different cultures of the world. It is Power Mongerers like you who make this game the way it is.

If you don't judge people on what people say and actually give them a Chance, it makes the game so much more fun. My favorite thing to do on GK is to help out the noobs and try to get them to enjoy the game, so It will be a better place for everybody else. I mean how hard is it to type in something like, (just grab the little black square next to the wheel on the boat, and walk into the bed) that could make you a new friend that could help you sometime.

And if you want to get items legit, all you have to be is nice to people, and they will eventually pretty much give you stuff, you don't even have to ask a lot of the times. Like when I got my first RoW, it was pretty much given to me buy a close friend.

Well I guess my point is quit being stupid ***holes and actually give people a chance in this game. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS EVERYBODY, AND THAT MEANS EVERYBODY, WAS A NOOB ONCE. How would you have made it where you did without the friends you made along the way?

Nah, we play GK for the community and items.

Just to put in my 2 cents: you control how much you play this game, and you control why you play the game. You can always quit, if it's ruining your life as you say, or cut down on HOW much you play. All i know is i play a lot during the summer.. 16 more days and ill probably be on less than 1 1/2 hours a day because i'll be too busy..
