Magnet Mines
 

I know it wasn't too long ago since the last time I posted an idea, but I had a brainstorm.

The weapon name is the Magnet Mine. Its sole purpose is to stop vehicles (mainly the hover bikes).

The weapon would be layed down by the player, and any bike that passes within a 3 inch radius of it (screen-wise of course), the bike would be sucked on top of the mine and would get stuck there.

For the effects, I was thinking a charge of electricy streaming from the mine to the bike then slowly sucking it in. Once the bike is on top of the mine, it's surrounded in electricity preventing anyone from getting on it (if you're on the bike while it's sucked in, you lose 5hp a second until you get off).

Like the regular mines, after 10 minutes of laying around, they affect your own team. The mine disapears once the bike respawns.

I'm thinking maybe $25 in-game money to equip yourself with one.

The purpose of this weapon is mainly to dim down the runners and people who sit on bikes shooting their weapons.

Classes that could have this weapon:

Heavy Infantry
Light Infantry
Marine
Sapper
Grenadier

i like the idea but why would it affect ur own team?? ppl wouldnt have a need 2 buy it if other ppl bought it 2 lay down cause it would affect their own team 2.....mayb it should only affect the opposing team.....

ya i like the mine but what about re-coloring it so it changes to the color of the area so it is almost un-noticable

That would be unecessary considering anyone who passes within three inches (screen width and height) of the mine gets sucked in.

But if that were to be added, setcoloreffect would be used.

ya but if they c it they would know what it is and emidataly turn away from it....i like that setcolor affect though :)

Seeing it would be a better idea in my opinion. It's not like they have much time to react anyway.

Could more than one bike get stuck on the mine?

i think that the mine should just trap it doing 1 dmg a second to the player and whenever u get outta the bike u get 10 dmg done 2 you from the mine.

You're not getting the point. That would give them all the more reason to stay ON the bike when the purpose of the mine is to get them OFF. If they get on a bike while it's stuck on the mine, you get zapped by the metal on the bike. In fact, it might be a better idea to do something like 5 damage every .5 seconds. Also remember they will know the bike is on a mine because of the electricy surrounding it.

To the guy who asked about more than one bike... I really don't think that's the best idea. I'd say one bike per mine. Problems could include bikes getting jammed together and players getting stuck on the bike. We could have it attract more than one bike at once while there's no bike on the mine.

Also, you won't need to be on the bike for it to effect the bike.

The red is stupidity. If your stupid I will put bullets into you, you will then gush red. At least make it so touya doesn't type better than you. I'm not exaxtly sure where you go that but at least it was understandable.

well i think they were but i want them for everyone because vulcan throws stuff that hasn't been made like grav mines so they probaly are just aren't released and talking about them might get thme releasded for everyone
