This should probably be made a sticky, as there are a lot of users who would.. to this day, indeed fall for this >_< . Some users don't grasp the reality that the e-mail registered to the account is more valuable then the password itself.

A ip ban can easily be evaded, ofcourse not by everyone. This person, specifically, has had numerous accounts that were previously banned. Although it cannot permanently restrict someone from using the graal client, it's better then doing nothing.. being so I would have to agree ^^ .

He is correct,, this does happen a lot, and honest people DO fall for it and loose their rightfuly paid for account.
I second the fact that this person deserves a global ban, people like that should not be existant to the graal world.

Interesting. And the same person on that account was doing the same on Graal Kingdoms. I think he/she was punished for it.

Salazar is also a known scammer on GK, does it quite often apparantly.

I had another account, but I can't remember the email. Like seven people have access to it. >.< Johnny Welsh said he hacked it. But, I really can't do that much with just that information. It sucks but, I got another account; which is this one. :frown:

The account that was Pming Curtis used to be a friend of mine. Looks like he fell for it, huh?

Anyway, if you ban that account, there are likely to be about 10 more.

They said IP ban, not ban.... There's a difference.

Ip Ban- all accounts he uses.

No, it doesn't ban all the accounts he uses, it just stops him from connecting to a playerworld. I think if you connected somewhere, you might be able to get on with that same account?

Account Ban = Bans an account that money was paid for
IP Ban - Prevents the player from entering the playerworld/client until the IP is changed.

He could make a noob account and steal still

Might be worth banning his IP from even signing up, I'm sure that's possible.

And in a week or a month his IP would change, unless he's on dialup in which it'll change every time he logs on.

Personally I think Graal should implant a registry key in a computer with a unique serial number. Then that serial number could be blocked.

Aye, that's a good idea. Might be worth trying out and a group of people willing to cooperate in bringing justice to the endless accounts that have be savagely been ripped from the owner in a spite of jealousy.

Or perhaps we should educate players better so that people like this cannot fool other players into giving them their accounts?

Educate and Graal players do not mix.

Some Graal players who I've come across seem to have an IQ of a monkey, as opposed to all those with an IQ of a tomato plant.

I like the idea of a serial #, but then again, would i still be able to have 5 accounts? ;)
IPs change too much, but usually they only change a few #'s (the last 2 or 3)
So you could put #.#.*.* or #.*.*.* but then again, that's much less secure. There should just be an ID #....or people shouldn't be that stupid :\
