Flaws With The Drow Story

Why post this here? Well, I figure everyone should be entitled to their opinion on a server they pay to play. So, this should be an open discussion amongst the players.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't notice it until now, but after re-reading how the drows conquered the Zormitian colony, it's quite ridiculous...

GIST: The king locked himself inside the castle, and while he was sleeping, one drow stabbed him in the chest, killing him. The drow then declared himself king and from there the Zormitians in that colony were no more.

You said you were forsaking everyone else as you locked yourself in the castle alone, but a king is always guarded. Forsaking is to give up, not to throw everyone out of the castle.

So, I'd like to ask a few questions...

1) Where was everyone else that was suppose to be in the castle at?
2) Where were your guards at the time that you were stabbed?
3) If you locked yourself in the castle, how did the drow get in?
4) Why did you get hit by lightning?
5) When you were hit by lightning, where were the Zormitians at?
6) In your story, you speak of only one drow, so how can one drow take over a colony filled with hundreds of Zormitians?
7) So, the drow miraculousy got into the castle, got into the kings bedroom as he was sleeping, got in unnoticed, killed the king, and automatically took over the colony? That makes no sense.

There are probably more questions to the story, but these are just a few. The story that Graynt created is just not reasonable.

It doesn't seem like Graynt thought this well through when he created the story. He seems to forget what the Zormitians have gone through in the past. If he did, then he'd know that a simple drow could not overcome a colony of Zormitians.

So, I'll leave the rest up for discussion.....

There is also the fact that the Zormites and whatnot would've revolted against the new leadership. Personally I wrote this off as a civil war between the Zormites and Drows which makes the Empire's conquests easier.

Yes, of course, the Zormitians would've never let a simple drow take over the colony they've worked hard to maintain.

plus

This would also make him a Drow who is king over zormite, not king of a kingdom of drow, thats not even possible. :\

It seems everytime I try to tell Graynt that the story he made was poor he tunes out what I tell him and he either logs off or tells me to leave him alone.

Even though I hate the story, they have used alot of elements that Drow are best known for. I'll answer these, but not in support of their RP. Just general answers concerning Drow.

3) Drow are known for having secret pacts with mainlanders, in this case they more then likely had a secret entrance into the castle that most Drows do.
6) Drows were known to send out only 1 Assassin to take out the King, thereafter that Assassin was usually appointed the Matriarch for the time being.
7) All up to the point of taking over the colony makes perfect sense. It's just abit powergamish, even though he is killing his own character.

Not to mention the already known fact, Drow are blinded by the Sun. Their armors and weapons disinegrate in the sunlight, and they are often actually killed just by stepping foot in sunlight.

I think these Drow are going to have a hard time defending their kingom land from within the castle. Maybe they should of inslaved Zormite, rather then took it over and converted every member into a Drow, eh? :0
