For those in the know (maybe 10 people?) I run a server, that i will soon have a name change to Altea Dev. We have some very inovative and outstanding idea's, mostly from my co-owner, Yaharii. I feel some promise but we need staff....badly.
Here's some info:
We will be a somewhat modernized RPG server (finanal fantasy like, if you will).
We want the best of gfx, I'll show a screenie of what our tileset will look like.
We will have custom sprites for the characters, this deepens the RPG element, because players will be able to choose their own clothing of all sorts, different torso types, etc, etc.
Outlandish overworld, one of the biggest to be sure.
We will have at least 10 classes to choose from, as well as different races, kind of like GK only more races.

On topic here i am partially impressed, but in the second shot, it seems too bright in places, those objects are moving or something, i hope?

Tiles are terrible. The First Wallpaper is good, alteawallpaper.bmp reminds me too much of .Hack// games.

I don't think the tiles are terrible. It has an interesting style...I sort of like it. If I worked on playerworlds other then my own project, I might work on yours =).

Arg sorry I made a mistake, tried to delete the wrong first post but it was deleting the whole thread instead, and when undeleting it the attachments disappeared. If possible post the thread again then I will remove this. Sorry x-x

But seriously, how in the WORLD can you hate those tiles? They are sekc. Anyways, that's not exactly how our tileset will be, my co-owner yaharii is making it and he thought that was a bit too....good. He's making a tileset thats somewhat simpler but it will still blow your mind.

lol i just want to say good luck with this one. Its been over 2 years and were still working tweaking our rpg engine. but then again we're lazy bastards.

Anyways, yeah, my co-owner isnt gonna make that tileset now, we have another one in the works that looks pretty good so far.
But I will show you the opening screen and how the bodies will look.

GAT:
1-2 Sword gfx
1 miselaneous npc gfx
1 gfx of your choice

NAT:
2-3 Weapon scripts
Explain the difference between serverside and clientside(also note that we are GS2)

Our new gui is now up, which i think is sexy. Also our splash screen is up too. (comes up when something is loading)

No need, really. We dont have anything else really to see. The OSL isn't done, so right now it doesnt look to good. I'm still awaiting stefan to change the servers name to Altea from Domination. By next week all the system stuff will be done soo all that will be left is the main thing. The levels and the baddies.

This is where I really need staff, so please, we need them.

I love that character. Be sure to have your Co-Owner make lots of sprites and have a good gani made. That way they'll move more naturally. :)

that's exactly what we are doing. I'm picky when it comes to gani's therefor i want them to be as realistic as possible.
