Rate a building?
1 Attachment(s)
What do you think of this building on a 1-10?
(do NOT rate the rest of the level as you notice nothings there) |
Nothing amazingly impressive or unique done. Average.
|
what should I do to spruce it up? maybe use npc windows and place objects add some light effects?
|
Well it would not really be tile work then.
It depends on what you're using it for. Average does not mean bad, it just means it is not an impressive thing. |
i dont wana be adverage i mean i made it for like a osl for a friend (he just wants a building) thats why i didnt do anything else but now you make me wana redo it and try harder lol.

There are tons of tiles on the tileset than can be used for house outsides, even if they arent directly meant to be.
Play around and find some stuff that looks good, it does not always have to be a traditional building |
There is a house making tutorial I'm quite sure, and the end product looks very nice, try experimenting with that.
As for the level itself, it isn't as bland and one would think, but nothing impressive. |
I'm kind of surprised no one has said this yet:
A fundamental flaw with the design of that building is the placement of its four roofs. Each "section" of the building is two storeys tall, and thus equal, yet the southernmost red roof overlaps both blue ones, creating a distorted effect. As well, the northernmost red roof, I'm assuming was made with the intent that it was also to be two storeys tall. With its placement underneath both the blue roofs, and the red roof, it makes it seem skewed, and out of place. As well, your door is missing the bottom tiles for its frame, and all of the brick tiles used for your building are identical, thus making evident (upon light inspection) tile errors for each of your walls. It seems as if you designed the building from a predefined objects point, without using any of the tiles individually from the tileset. Further evidence of this is that there are no "middle brick" tiles, for placement between two edges. There are only edge brick tiles. |
I didnt use premade tiles and the reason I didnt put the bottom tiles on the door is the building is not for me and most people like to put a path up to there door to make it look like it used the roof thing yah I see what your talking about now but I thought it looked cool :( but when you look at it your way it does seem destorted but how are there tile errors in the walls i mean?? could you like identify them so i can fix them?
