Forums should be moved?
 

I don't know about the average forum user, but I for one hate looking at the Graal main forums from the main page, and seeing the last post as "Hi" or "Good bye forever", because the birthday and hello/goodbye forums get more posts. It's nice to see the actual last post from the main forums.

So my remedy to this annoyance would be to either:

1) Move the Hello/Goodbye and Birthday forums up a level to show in the General Forums section on the main page

or

2) Make a new section on the main page such as "No postcount forums", or something less tacky that says the same thing. Perhaps these would be out of the way in a section low on the page or so. They certainly aren't more imprortant than playerworld or dev forums.

Or perhaps there is a way to script the forums to not show the last post from those subforums (though keep in mind for things like Kingdoms forums, which have very little activity, last post from any subforum is useful. So disabling ALL subforums from showing their last post on the main page wouldn't be good.) however, since i'm sure nobody would have that much time to spend rescripting the fourms, i'm not including it in the poll

Please also keep in mind this is not an official poll to decide on taking an action, merely a suggestion that will reflect the public's opinion on the matter to anybody to reads it.

I understand where you're coming from I guess, but it never really struck me as such an annoying thing to warrent action to remedy it.

Either way, it wouldnt bother me.

I must say it never really bothered me. I always look into each section I am interested in because it only shows the one last post anyways.

And while doing that, convert the Graal2001 Guilds forum back into the global guilds forum, remove the Graal2001 forums from the playerworlds section, and create a new forum for Classic.

Oh yeah, and remove most of the stickys.

I'd like to see them under General Forums. That way, I won't have to see "Hi" as the last post in the Main Forum, and new people won't post their hello threads in the main forum because the "Hello and Goodbye" forum will be right in front of them, instead of near the bottom of the page where there is less of a chance they will look. An alternative could be to put them in a new section, but put that section directly under the general forums.

Sounds like a good idea. I was going to bring up why you posted instead of just doing it, but then I read further and saw you wanted a public opinion. That is very thoughtful, and I thank the global staff for that. Gerami, why bother posting if you don't care.
