Heart Container
 

I started to to make my own state for Graal and I started with the hearts.
I tried to make the heart container off of Zelda, and I was wondering if the shading on this heart is decent.

The hearts fine, the little purple outline is not. I don't know why, but for some reason it just doesnt look good. I'd say widen it, and 'shade' it so it shines in places?

I decided to just post the whole state. I haven't even done much and I'm trying to finish it. The new thing I just added was the mass/pm/staff/toall/guild icon. If you remember on Zelda: OOT that Navi always wants to talk to you when you're in action or something. It shows a blinking C-Up Icon saying Navi on it. Well, I made it so that my mass/pm/staff/toall/guild icon be a C-up icon. So when I press F7 and someone IMed me, it actually looks like the same thing when Navi wants your attention.

Go ahead and check it out.

Edit:- I made my MP/AP Bars.

MP Bar:- I used just a normal green magic bar, and put Farore's Wind(diamond shape) spell on it also.

AP Bar:- Same thing here but just making it blue and putting Nayru's Love(diamond shape).

I like it enough to replace my current state file.

The bag:- Outline by Gate, colored by me. It's the bomb bag from Zelda
The A, S, D:- I just put the Din's Fire spell on the A S D.
No PkZone:- I put a Navi, as if the fairy saves your life from not getting hit.

The next update I'll be posting is going to be the finished one.

No breach of copyrights or something? Good job though.

I don't think it really matters.

Since he made the graphics by hand, and they're not exactly a direct copy of the 3D works in LOZ:OOT.

I wouldn't think so...even if it were direct copies, he isnt uploading it onto a PW, it is just for personal use.
It doesn't even look exactly like Zelda anyway.

It's nice, I like it...I personally dont care for the message bubbles, but that's just me, and it's different from the default bubble, so change is good

That isn't neccesary to breach copyrights though.

As long as its not uploaded to any server's FTP and players just use them personally by choice by replacing the other state in their folder directory, than it is no problem.

Otherwise yea it would be copyright infringement, borderline at the least.

I like your hearts. You should be more creative though with the state. I made a state a long time ago (somebody probably has a copy, I saw an outdated version uploaded on a graal resource site once). If you experiment a little you will see that it is possible to make the half heart sprites be centered in such a way that when you get hit for a half heart, the bigger heart will disappear on screen and a smaller heart will appear centered where the bigger heart was seconds earlier, just like on a Zelda game. :)
