When I think of futuristic places similar to Zone, I see slums, rusty cans of who knows what, panhandlers with torns clothes, agents with trenchcoats, people living out of rusty torn down places, robots that use nanotech to reproduce. Meh. I think Zone should have some city that doesn't have a dropship. Maybe similar to Kingdoms where you can get a house. The teams would be obsolete, the only alliances would be street gangs. Sorry if this is a stupid idea or if something similar's already being worked on.

Might be good to have a place to hang out, like a big post-apocalypse town. The actual battles should take place in the battle zones, in the town you cannot use weapons or you would need to pay for the ammunition. In the town center you would have a parking place for space ships or a big teleporter which puts you on the dropships. Beside that you can also find shops for special items and persons which give you jobs/missions.
I don't like the idea of street gangs though, since this should not be an era clone and it's not realistic for a futuristic scenario.

I'd rather have a casino in space.

Why would anyone want to visit a run down destroyed city?

Yea this would be cool because then you could use the money you earned on other things, like special character accessories to deversify the way people look better, etc.

I really like the space casino idea, also. Omg if you made a Texas Hold'em table I would play all the time.

I thought of putting the card tables from Kingdoms in the dropships, to make them more interesting, it would fit ?

I hate those big bulky tables. I would much rather you scripted individual card games rather than depending on people trying to do it all correctly in GK's freestyle format.

I think we should have like guns you can actually buy and bring into battle. not something uber powerful and not so uber sucky that noone will want it.
EDIT: The chemical troopers should have like bottles of chemicals that they can throw like grenades and explode or make poison crap

Sort of, but not traditional cards... Perhaps invent your own games with your own deck of cards... Like in one episode of the show "Firefly" a few of the crew on the smuggling ship were playing a card game (and betting with chores) and one guy won with "Three plums!" And the cards were round, instead of rectangular.

So just the idea of games adapting, and evolving over time I guess.

Maybe a futuristic poker? or blackjack? something with money involved...

Something like that... but you wouldn't have Royal Flushes, or Straights... The cards wouldn't follow the same format of your everyday deck, and such.

Stefan I was thinking about it yesterday, and I think it would be cooler if we had a 8-10 seat ring table format (for Texas Hold'em at least) in which the game isnt played with cards at all, but instead there would be 5 black little screens in the middle of the table that would show electronic numbers and the A, K, Q, J. And by each seat there would be 2 black screens and you can only see your own electronic numbers until the end, at which point everyone's is displayed. Get it?

That would be neat.. And of course some sort of betting system, and the table would keep a small part of the total pot of each hand.

I'd crush everyone in Poker. Texas Hold'em especially.

I have an idea about when people die, you should like fall over on the ground (blood comes out maybe), screen turns black/white, "MUAHAHAHA!", and you just sit there for 5 seconds then respawn, this will get rid of the people respawning so quickly.
