Can anyone tell me what experience points actually do ? I'm still trying to figure it out.

You won´t get any reward yet except of getting a better rank like "First Class" ---> "Soldier" aso.

Does it go up in 2000exp or something, or does someone add you?

The rank is automatically updated when you get exp. I have added rank requirement for Muramasa and Plasma Sabre, you need at least rank "Soldier" (4000 exp).
The highest rank is 150k, can add more ranks if too many people reach that limit :) We also plan to make an exp-top-ten

Why only a top 10?
better a script 4 everyone and the list gets automaticly Refreshed each day
so people can see how good they really are.. or with Kills and Deaths "200kills 100deaths = 100" that would be nice to..

1 exp = new Rekruit
500 = Third Class
??? = First Class
4000 = Soldier
5000 or 6000 = veteran
10000 = Warrior

Half taking what I think you are suggesting, it would be good with multiple top-10s, such as:

*Kill v Death Ratio (Not just kills, as im sure anyone can get alot of kills - you need to be staying alive)
*Most XP
*Game points (read below)
And maybe also add somewhere that it counts how many bases you personally take over, and how many flags you personally capture. Then a top10 could be done on both of those.
*Top players (a combination of all the above)

Kill v D, meanning your Score.

Eg

1 x player - 100 - 0
2 x player - 69 - 1

Etc etc.

However, the list should be wiped every so often, to stop people who log out when they are about to die , etc to keep their score.

I think its a great idea that you can make experience ranks that don't make players more powerful than others. Good thinking there. ;)

how about a leaderboard, so you can see the entire list, find where you stand against everyone else in rank.sort by flag captures, grabs, base captures, kills, deaths, exp.

Yeah, instead we have a whole group of newbies who believe that their Warrior rank makes them the absolute best leader in the world.

Newbie with Warrior Rank: "OMGZ U GUYZ LEZ AL B ON D!" (This actually happened by the way while playing CTF)

Me: "No that's stupid. Have everyone attack and leave two at the base for defense"

Newbie with Warrior Rank: "OMGZ NO, I B WARIROR SO I HAV MORE EXP!"

Me: "Experience means nothing, it doesn't make you into a leader"

Newbie with Warrior Rank: "BUT RANK GIVS RESPECT"

Me: "No, it just shows that you can PK. I dont even fire my weapon on this map, I just grab the flags"

So in the end, it was just me on offense because for some unknown reason, my team was actually following this guy.

I hope everyone stays nice and even in terms of abilities, if you allow some form of stat boosters and only a few groups of folks get them it could be that much harder for a newer player to get there because they now have to deal with a squad that has the better stats.


Not an easy thing to do, so if you do add this idea make it somewhat fair, a small speed boost or a few more health after reaching a certain rank? Nothing that goes overboard though! Maybe two or three rank bonuses at most sounds very fair to me.

0 exp = New Recruit
1000 exp = Third Class
2000 exp = First Class
4000 exp = Soldier
6000 exp = Veteran
10000 exp = Warrior
15000 exp = Corporal
20000 exp = Major
30000 exp = Sergant
?????? exp = ???????
(The script for this lags so sometimes you have to reconnect for it to change ranks and then sometimes you have to wait =/)
