Quest management

Just a little tip for playerworld managers,
it can be helpful for you to make a chart
of what quests you have, what you get from them,
and if they are done or still being worked on.

I made this in Excell years ago and save it as a web page (html) file

http://www.figmentcode.com/sansquests/quests.htm

might also want to add fields for who its assigned to, when it was assigned, all that happy stuff.

a little organization can go a long way ...

Yea, that is what I am doing for my server ^_^
I started doing that couple of months ago because I became discourage about how much stuff I had, and where it was.

Need a quest idea? Let the player, or better - many players - find some conflict to resolve. Some charachter or group on your server npcs has some problem, took something, or needs an item from another group, and they need you to get it and set things right.
The hard part is to make it so that your helping the group or npcs casues another upset someplace else, and to make it loop on and on so that the server will last indefinetly, since it is an online game. There should be no end to it, no grand finale. Its not Mario where you rescue the priinecss, game over; the father of the princess now dosent like you and becomes an enemy but the pricess and you are in love etc.
good luck!
