Question pertaining to ip protect
Well i have a question. if you constantly change someones ip raneg cus it varies then how is it protected? someone culd hack their account and say im some where else or that theyre ip range changes too much, and they tet in just as easy... Any suggestions?

Suggestion:
Don't constantly change someone's IP. Have them record their various IP addresses throughout the week, then, at the end of the week, determine their range. Also, you can seperate multiple IP ranges with a comma. If you feel you absolutely have to change someone's IP range constantly, you should develop some sort of secret question/password system and forbid them from saving the password and/or answer to their computer. |
hmm sounds good
|
And most ISPs issue 1/2 starting IPs, so if somes IP range it:
68.40.*.*,68.9.*.*,56.64.*.*,56.101.*.* And they ask you to add: 24.*.*.* - then you may be supsicious. |
yeah but then tht opens the excuses "im at my grandma's" "im at my uncle ted's" "Im using my laptop" ect ect
|
Then tell them they can work when they get back to their own house.

Or IPs can be sorted before they go, while they are already on their normal IP. |
Or you can just tell them to get a damn virus scanner and stop downloading trainers.

what are you talking about gerami?

one of my lats does it! he is in the same situation. normally i wouldnt allow idling on the server, but i dont have a choice.
|
What's wrong with never signing off? It doesn't accumulate online time. I spent weeks idling on Era's RC at a time...
|
I tried idling on RC, but my computer slows down so much that I have to reboot.
|
my dad makes me shutdown when i goto sleep cus he thinks its wasting power!
