Playerworld Staff Limitation
This is a suggestion to the playerworlds who are actually working to become hosted/public and who doesnt wanna get files removed.
Anyway i suggest that most private playerworlds should NOT hire staff that work on another server. Reasons: 1)Could have globals come and yell at you. 2)Could have your work on another playerworld. 3) It shows that the person will be a dedicated worker. Honostly, why would you want someone who works on another server? I dont think you guys want globals on your back interrogatin you, do you? Theres my suggestion. |

The new trend seems to be "give advice to PlayerWorlds"
I wonder if it could be because the PWA is hiring... |

I have an idea: Don't be an idiot when it comes to hiring people.

Yeah... don't be an idiot about it, but don't feel like you can't hire anybody. You bought the server for a reason, to manage it how you wanted. You just have to be reasonable... not hiring people that give you material already on a server (even if they say they made it and submitted it) and not hiring bunches of people all the time.

Some managers are stupid so the pwa needs to butt in, we all know that :P

and stop honning on my style, mang |
is another trend like last year when there were PWA applications? go around posting reviews that don't count so no one really cares, this year posting RULES that will be "helpful" to everyone. dude managers know what they are friggen doing. they don't need to take tips from this. if they don't know any better then it's THEIR fault. no more "managers should do this" threads please.

Reason 1 that globals would yell at you: It's your server, your staff, not theirs'. They don't care how you run your server as long as it follows the basic PWA rules.
Reason 2 that you could have your work on other servers: That could happen regardless. You could hire someone, later fire them/they quit, and then they put it elsewhere. Reason 3 that it proves they are dedicated: I could work on two servers 5 hours a day each, or one server 3 hours a day. Which has more dedication? You tell me. |

Please let people do what they want to do with there server.. :whatever: |

Anyway. The number of servers roughly equals the number of developers available. That is one of the reasons why we don't say anything about that. |
really, people can do more then one thing at a time, some playerworlds make it a rule you can't work on more server then one, back when CyberX was manager of Maloria that rule was applied, I don't think it was needed because it was an already developed server that didn't need well, as much work as the "uc servers" looking at it, as i said PEOPLE CAN DO MORE JOBS THEN ONE, if they cant, **** make them choose if you think thats best, as i said once before, its your money, who are we to tell you how to spend it? Damn Straight, tata

advice hire ppl who kno crap bout graal

The server to developer ratio is extremely bad, few server owners realize this, otherwise there would be far less servers.

Ah-hem..im not sure if 21 days counts as a dead thread, but this topic interests me a bit...
As some of you know, I own Elemental Kingdoms. Heres my advice for hiring people (Basically what i do, and it works): Doesn't matter how many servers they work at; as long as they do a good amount of work! As for the work apearring on other servers, if their owner lets them and knows it i copied, they are at fault, if not it is more the player that did it, so they will face consequences if they copy your stuff. Also, if they dont work, dont say shape up 50 times, give them a warning saying you need to work to stay here, then if they dont work still, let them go. |
