1 Attachment(s)
I am looking for experienced, talented level editors
to have some fun tiling my playerworld, Argos, to help it look nice.

Requirements: in addition to talent and experience
-at least three months playing graal
-at least 16 yrs of age (maturity factor)
-has had their level up on another playerworld at some point in time
-does not currently work for/own another playerworld
-is not power hungry (will not keep asking for rc rights/staff titles)
-is a happy person who wants to have fun with Graal!
-dsl/cable modem a plus (constant ip for rc)
-has a gold account (its online but under construciton)

Here is the map (its a big world!)

Send me a forum pm if you are interested!

Xecutor 07-24-2004 07:38 PM

Hmm maybe this deserves to go into the Playerworld hiring section.

prozac424242 07-24-2004 08:00 PM

Whoops, I did not know there was a place jsut for pw hiring!
If an admin could please move this thread to that board that would be great.

Crono 07-24-2004 08:51 PM

I know that this is kinda off topic but because this is in the level thread and you posted a bigmap, I'll comment on it.

Too many mountains mang x.x

Good luck finding LATs :O

haunter 07-24-2004 08:56 PM

Moved. This forum is new, so I'll leave a redirect to let people know about it.

VeX_RaT_Boy 07-24-2004 10:43 PM

-16 years? That's a big part of graal you're letting out. You will quickly find out if a person is mature if you talk to him.

-I got DSL, but my IP changes a lot.

Milkdude99 07-25-2004 12:33 AM

I think the qualifications are good in what he is asking for and no it doesn't leave out a large portion of Graal players. Being select on his Staff shows a good responsibility to his PW and players-to-be for wanting the best. Talking to someone doesn't mean squat, actions do. Anyone can talk a good game plan and deceive someone.

prozac424242 07-25-2004 01:19 AM

Ya, I used to manage Sanstrata back more than a year ago and found out many ways to hire the wrong kind of people for staff. Thats why I have those requirements, I want it to be a good server for as many as possible.

And I happen to like mountains, there will be ways up and down them, it will flow with the logic of the game. There are plenty of wide open spaces too.

Crono 07-25-2004 11:33 AM

Oh. I meet all the requirements but you know, dont feel like LATing at the moment :(

VeX_RaT_Boy 07-25-2004 01:42 PM

Well, this is the one doing so I can't work there.
-at least 16 yrs of age (maturity factor)

I am 7 months away..

prozac424242 07-25-2004 11:32 PM

I am willing to bend the age rules some, depading on the charachter of the person.

But there is one other thing :
-does not currently work for/own another playerworld

and in your sig

VeX_RaT_Boy 07-25-2004 11:58 PM

I love it, I always use it when I'm hiring for my PW. (Of course, they can be FAQ or ET or GP)

Milkdude99 07-26-2004 03:17 AM

Dividing ones time between more than one PW to work on leads to BOTH PWs suffering for it. Many say they can do it but there is only so many hours in a day plus the realities of life keep most of us busy. It also tends to lead to conflict of interest and ideas mixing between the 2 PWs, to me personally its not worth it. If your desire is not to be just be one of those "run of the mill ole PWs" , then don't do it. Keep your PW unique and your Staff the same, devoted to only ONE PW , yours.

Eagle 07-26-2004 08:09 AM

The requirements are OK I guess, but if someone works on two playerworlds, but puts an equal amount of time into each project, I wouldn't mind if he/she worked on another Playerworld. As long as he/she gets his/her assignments finished in a reasonable timeframe, i would sure accept that. Of course, that is just my opinion, it's your playerworld. :)

Good luck on your Playerworld! :D

Crono 07-26-2004 12:38 PM

I like what Moon God said and I agree.

prozac424242 07-27-2004 02:15 AM

Moongod: Amen! Preach it!

So, anyone interested in working for my pw?

Milkdude99 07-29-2004 02:05 AM

I would be but I fear I would only make a good paperweight on RC... :p

If you're talking to me, who said that I was ever going to try out? I only said that I disliked the at least 16 years old rule.

I use the same "no work on other PW" on Nolavario.

  I was replying to the opinions he asked for and this was not directed to anyone but rather my opinion as I stated it was. I mean when someone says

to me it would mean they are expressing their opinion on something , don't you agree?

I am 16, and quite immature.

prozac424242 08-03-2004 02:15 AM

This explains more of my point:

http://www.makegames.com/contents.html

its a good read for anyone who wants to make, or be a part of, a Graal playerworld, or any kind of video game

Read it and if you still want to be part of what could be the Graal playerworld industry of super happy fun times as a result of concentrated group effort, let me know.

kabouter 08-05-2004 12:02 PM

I think your rules aren't really good, let people only join the staff if they are 15 years old.. I dont know but i think its stopid. And your overworld, like Crono said to much mountains

I think your post just makes his point on the kind of Staff he desires...

English isn't his first language so his choice of words is limited.

That is, if you're talking about what he posted being childish...

>_< Never said what he posted was "childish" if I wanted to say that I would have. He desires a certain kind of staff that meet certain requirements and there is nothing wrong with what he wants for his staff to be.

No Offence, but playerworlds that have maps the size of yours never even complete 1/3 of the map.Maybe you should like cut out 123094 levels so you can have a decent size overwolrd -_-.

Very true. When I started Krynn I had like 300 levels. It took me a long time just to do those and it still left alot of trees and stuff.

P.S. Kronan I don't make levels anymore... I retired there is no need for me to do levels now.
