Boat
 

The boat, it was supposed to be a little bit smaller... but I honestly don't know if I'm going to do anything about that. Maybe I'll have to make more than one direction for it... which was really what I was going to try to do by making the boat into a bowl shape. Did I mention this is a closeup... yadayadayadayada...

Looks pretty good, but I can't give a final verdict until I see a non-zoomed one.
Could you post it at it's normal zoom? (I'm too lazy to zoom it out myself.)

The one thing you might want to check out, not sure if it looks the same in the normal zoom, is the inside/far side section of the boat. It doesn't seem to contrast enough with the close side, making it look like one flat piece.

I like it, it has some flaws but I like it.
Specifically, I like the sizing of it, it fits the player almost perfectly.
But, like I said, perhaps the front/inner parts could be shaded differently to make it look as you intended it to.
Otherwise, pretty nice.

The front, and the black bits, are...i dunno...they look all fuzzy and stuff. Like a pixelly screenshot of a snes rom that's been enhanced to look smoother.

But yeah, the shape and size of the boat is very nice.

It looks like it is floating on top, you have to make like a submerged appearence.

I was going to work on that, actually... after I get my final tastes on the boat itself. I was just making oars the other day... but it might take a couple more sprites to put into a gani, you know? I made 3 submerged oars and it doesn't quite have the flow of what I want yet, meaning more sprites of oars, probably 3 more of submerged ones, and then making unsubmerged versions of them, which should be a bit easier.

So what parts exactly do you find blurry and/or flat? (Right now I may be thinking the green part, that only looks black because of the colors around it) Let me upload a new screenshot in a sec.

I think you have to submerge more of those oars, ussually the whole paddle is in I think

Isn't there an image like that in a scripting tutorial that is old...? except it's a hover craft, not a boat.

Could be? I don't really know, but yea, i've been spending a lot of time on this boat...

Make the oars darker, I think it would match better.

Make the oars more deeper in the water, same with the boat, and have the boat kinda submerged and then nicely submerged for when the players gets on / exits the boat.

Yes, find a good shade of a dark blue to make it mix well with the brown.

I think its looks good.. I think darker oars would look beter, also.

Yea, it was supposed to look like a hover craft originally, but it just looks more like a boat to me :(.
