INSPECTION: Shaded Legend (CLASSIC TAB) - as told by VT
Hello!
Shaded Legend is a server which wants to come to Classic tab. Let's have a think about that, shall we?
Overview: Alot of players might remember Shaded Legend from back in the day. It was very popular as an event server, that is one thing which even I can remember. The events were notorious for being fun. The rest of the server didn't have so much to offer, however, it still kept a fair reputation.
Sadly, it died off as players moved on.
The revival of Shaded Legend is certainly no small effort. It has a very nice visual appeal, and has some excellent NPCs. There are extensive job systems, a variety of quests, and an indepth storyline. The server no longer relies on events alone; it has plenty of above-average content to aid it along.
Quests: The quests are generally tied very much in with the storyline. There are frequent cutscenes to enhance the effect of aforementioned storyline, which are done in a neat cinematique mode. However, these modes can be frustrating; some bugs cause them to play repeatedly. They also have a tendency to last a long time.
Levels: The levels are done in a very nice way. They manage to be visually appealing without the clutter feel that is often present with the newer styles in level making- this makes for a clean appearance. The detail is nice, and the lighting effects can add a haunting feel to the server. You'll be seeing alot of them, since there are not very many quick ways around the world.
Graphics: The graphics are very nicely done, in particular the GUI. It is nice to look at and fits the overall theme of the server. I found the lumberaxe graphics very cool as well. The NPCs are all done in a pretty nice way, though some are better than others.
Events: Ah, of course, the events. Expect the same fun and more that you got from the original Shaded Legend in the event area. A wide variety of events, including an interesting and welldone manhunt one, create an excellent atmosphere for those desiring to have a fun time. As far as I can tell without actually seeing the scripts, they are done well.
Conclusion: Expect a wellrounded server. The content is even and up to snuff with any other servers on the classic tab. There is an extensive storyline and plenty for the average player to do. I'm sure it will evolve and become even better as time goes on.
