Tileset Generator
My idea is for a tileset generator much like the old levels generator it would be a color coded system where certain rbg values stand for certain tiles.
First you would get a very large image and use ms paint to draw the colors on it where ever you want the then you hit generate and it makes it into a tileset (and changes the colors into little gray 16 x 16 squares) this way if a server was in need of say more of a certain kind of tile it could be done. I think this could only improve the UC playerworlds.. |
I don't quite get what you're talking about... It sounds like you want a program to magically create a tileset for you... 0.o;
Maybe I can make it easier to understand. I want a program where you can design and organize your own tileset. If you can make a program to make levels and gmaps and gk monster dens. A tileset generator shouldnt be too hard but maybe I am wrong because I have no clue when it comes to code.
So you want a program that like... creates a tileset template? So you can choose what tiles are blocking, water, chairs, etc?
i wanted the exact same thing, but gst just snubbed it off and said
"just change the tiles its your fault that you put them in the wrong place" or somet retarded :\ |
yeah exactly because currently I need more of a certain tile for metropolis.
I believe it is the /Graal/arrays.dat file which controls tile blocking, although I could be mistaken. Certainly, an application which could create new tileset layouts would be useful, although obviously it would be bad if players could impose their own layout - for example, everything not blocking. Perhaps a new file format, like the gmap, which allows for the control of tile blocking, and a new server option to load them?
Yeah also adjusting the size of your tileset would be usefull as well.
So basically, you want a tileset gen, that you can make a certain tile, the array you want it?

Hmmm, the suggestions here are all very muddled, lol, but i agree. There should be some way to create a tileset where you choose exactly which tiles block and which don't, rather than having to put water tiles it that place, and chair tiles in this place, and Giant Moose tiles in those places...
And yeah, we should be able to choose how big our tilesets are...in some cases, anyway. I mean, if it's HUGE then it possibly shouldnt be allowed, and the PWA could check this in their reviews or something. |
