Lights?
Today, was on Graal, testing out something on Metropolis, and then I log off. An hour later, I log on and my lights are all squared O_o. I was guessing it was a DirectX error, but I've had the latest version plus the Windows update for quite a time now. So now Graal lags me to death unless I turn lights off, which is no fun. So anyone have any suggestions?

Screenshots?

It's not you know regular round lights? Like light2.png for example, it becomes a squared light. It's really laggy too o.o, if someone knows how to fix it, tell please =).

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? Also, try reinstalling Graal. Some things are just strange like that.
|
Well, I think I do. It was fine before I changed my resolution from 1024 to 1158...the color is on 24-bit.
|
Nevermind, I fixed it. Thanks anyways. I changed my 24 bit color to 16 bit.

I take it you have an older video card? Might be a good idea to upgrade. A real basic Radeon 9600 is fairly inexpensive and can still deliver nice quality. I've had a similar problem to yours before, but it was because I was on 32bit color depth. I just waited for the next release which solved the problem :)
What is your video card anyway? I'm guessing some generic built-in chipset since, to my knowledge, nVidia and ATI only offer 16bit and 32bit color depth. Though there's not a major difference between 24bit and 32bit...I think |
There is a light image, light9.png or something what's square.. :p
