is there anyway to create your own tileset?

You can change and replace the pics1.png in your Graal folder, although you'll only be able to seeit yourself as there isn't a settileset command in Graal.

I think you can edit pics1.png, and name the edit pics2.png or whatever you want to name it. Then, use the setbackpal npc command. Like:
setbackpal pics2.png;

I remember doing that once and it worked, for the most part.

setbackpal dusk8.png x.X
setbackpal moonpal.png X.x

these are 2 different tile sets i use =\ and Damasca made their own, although it was illegal, with different tiles.

set back pal sets the background pallet, it doesn't change the tile set, I just tried the pics2.png thingy with a tile set I found, nope, it doesn't work

why is it illegal to make your own tilesets?

It's not illeagal. It just hasn't been supported in Graal versions before, but it might be supported in the upcoming version.

It would be cool to see custom made tilesets for playerworlds so they all wouldn't look the same

I heard there's gonna be a new command for tile set customization :)

Damasca was removed from GraalOnline because they made their own pics1.png using tiles from The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

that explains why I have that tile set, and every time I download an update it uses that cheap tile set, it's very annoying

there are so many essential tiles that have been left out... and so many tile sthat could do with a visit to the trash can. Like those crappy lava tiles... ESPECIALLY the ones that look like they were drawn on MS paint, those weird crystal things that "claim" are trees... those are just wrong.... I have a list of tiles that are needed just for common things, like the bends in the roof of the houses... you have the set for upward bends, but not downward ones. That makes sense =P there are others, but I'd hate to bore you, hehe. If I had any telent in graphics I'd redo the pics1.png and submit it as the new standard, but alas, I really suck with draw progs.

Actually I think stefan did it already, since on New Main all the window tiles were changed and I didn't have to download a new pics1 manually. But I could be wrong.

addtiledef or something similar does it

Dang, I seem to have an outdated copy of the tiles still. Will someone post a link to the current set here so i'll have all the latest for building my PW? Thanks. =)

Bravo made its own tile set and used it and it wasn't illegal! Maybe we should kick Brandon out for that now. *YaY*:D
