Valan 3D (were did the old topic go? X_x)

I can't find the old Valan 3D topic =/
hmm... O well. I would like to have some staffs.
We can't realy do anything right now. Well the gfx guys can, they can make models and so but the scripters have to whait until we can use the graal 3d engine ((downloade the Torque Game Engine Demo if you want to see what the engine can do))

http://valan3d.proboards24.com/index.cgi <- our forums. it has some great nice graal feeling ^_^

Chaos0838 05-05-2004 11:46 AM

Yea, and who's to say they will allow level making in 3D? I know it's been kinda assumed... but I haven't seen anything saying we'd be able to do that.

Galdor 05-05-2004 04:24 PM

stef is making an editor for graal 3d right now. in graal script =O

Myukoi 05-05-2004 05:53 PM

Same. Graal3D will be my first..if it's ever finished. Graal v3 is like a total waste of time. They should just screw it and go Graal 3D.

Galdor 05-05-2004 06:19 PM

Kat notice that they use the same Playerlist and Options for graal v3 as the Torque Game Engine has, so maybe they are using it for graal v3 already =O

WanDaMan 05-05-2004 06:24 PM

Galdor, teach me how to use it 1337 like you.. :)
edit
downloaded it and installed it, no work :\

A level editor is included in the Torque engine, so if Stefan isn't making his own you could always make them there.

Galdor 05-07-2004 12:32 PM

Stef's editor will probobly much easier to use xD

now i got 5 staff ppl for valan =O (6 with me xP)
omg!

Admins 05-07-2004 01:29 PM

In Graal3D you can use the editor online, changing the terrain, placing objects etc. You can use the RC to upload files. There is an in-game RC that lets you edit scripts of npcs, datablocks, classes and weapons (gui).

We should still be able to develope offline :/. When my internet is down I sometimes like to work on servers since I have nothing better to do. Don't kill the thing that made graal shine. -polishes his offline level editor-

depends on how busy I am whenever you guys get going, IRL that is. I'm multitasking enough as it is x_x .

Galdor 05-08-2004 06:43 PM

alright =]
ish anyone else out there planing to make a graal 3d playerworld? =O

Crono 05-08-2004 07:13 PM

Well since Graal 3D comes with a level editor, I'm going to use it as soon as possible and try to get better than other people :(. But for that to happen I'll need people to make textures I guess. I hope graal comes with a "basic" variety of them. XD

WanDaMan 05-08-2004 07:24 PM

I wouldn't mind trying to do one, if I could get the program to work :p

Galdor 05-08-2004 08:56 PM

iv heard many ppl wanna make a fps player world =O
that would be cool.

o.o
at least I'm sure my gfx guy Kyle Odin would be interested in making gfx for it
>_<

Dach 05-09-2004 04:20 AM

list of projects I want to try with G3D;
Fighting game, RP involved and not tekken style
Racing, one of those super-cool racers with an oddly interesting RP story tacked on the back of it
War Game, might aswell :\, they can be excruciatingly fun, so yeah

it's possible to do these with the current engine, but why?

WanDaMan 05-09-2004 07:21 AM

make a halo game, :p.. but change it all :D
i love halo.

Galdor 05-11-2004 09:29 PM

Speaking of making 3d playerworlds, someone should try to recreate classic in 3d!

Why should someone re-create Classic in 3d?
