[GraalShop] Sprite Selector Tool
Right now, making ganis is more tedious than fun. For myself, I find it boring to continuously search for the sprite size coordinates in the image to add them to the sprite definitions. Though it's quite a simple process, it can sometimes lead to unneeded frustration (at least for me).
A nifty feature I thought of when talking to Rabid would be creation of a button in the 'Add Sprite' window. It would open up yet another window with a picture of the image with tools along the size, your zoom selector and your rectangular selector lasso tool. You simply select the portion of the image you want to sprite, and hit 'ok'. It would then import the coordinates into the other window, and you still have the option to do it the old way and grid it if required. Thoughts? |
Yeah, that would really help out alot.

Been suggested many a time, hey the latest thread fell victim to the "crash" ...
Still a good idea nonetheless [old man mode] Y'know, before there were ganis, we did all of our sprite animations through showimgs, ya ever thought about how difficult it was to do then? We had to find not only the pixel coordinates and sizes, but we had to script them to move about the screen for the animations, through snow and uphill both ways!! Yeah, it was tedious stuff indeed. You youngins don't know how good ya have it. *forgets to turn off old man mode* |

yeah, it sets the player's animation to def.gani and sets the gani step to said sprite index
|
That would be a great idea I know ive ganied a few things over my time on graal and it'd speed things up if you didnt have to use trail and error to make the sprites correct >.o
