Platform Idea
 

Well i was sitting arround, pondering on an idea i had heard for a platform server.

Well i started working, and i have the whole of most of the importaint scripts done, and a nice few levels, with some additions, traps, etc.

I was wondering if this is something anyone would be intrested in, or if mabye i am wasting my time and should continue with a diffrent idea ;)

either I dont know what you mean by platform server, or you didnt say your idea 0_o

That was my idea i mean something like the classic mario games for example, with straight levels and such.

Butyou have to make it nice with out any lag or buggyness...
Relize that when you set a variable on graal it tends to add or subtract like 0.000001 to it for some reason.

I was going to make a quest like this for my server... but it would make a good server, go for it

Seems like a good idea to me. I like playing old school platform games, so I'd probably play on your server a lot.

Sounds great, I'd definately stop by every once in a while, maybe not stick around too long, though, depends on what you can do with it graphic-wise and fun-wise.

Ive tested the scripts on an online server already, however my problem is i currently dont have a server i can transform into it.

Perhaps it will come soon, so far i think i could do wonders with what i have, seemed fun to me anyways, and the new possibilitys would be amazing as well.

There was a cool thing on Newgrounds (find the link yourself, I guarantee it that the mods would not like me posting it as there are less-than-child-friendly-links there) that was like resident evil 2d with luigi and toad and peach and all of them.

I think it would cool to have a server like that :p.

A side-scroller? Giltwist was working on such a project, it was called Tribulation. I think others had the idea aswell, but not quite as much potential as Gil had. I'm not really trying to dissuade you, since it is a very good idea. I actually would like to see something like this on Graal. But it does have its limits.

I was aware of Trib, i thought it was to be a TBS RPG Server? *shrug*

I dont pretend to match up to Giltwist in Math Scripting at all, thats my lacking area. However i am pretty determined, and what i want to finish, i will.

As does anything else, but with the right angle, it can become possibile, and perhaps limitless?

Then you will just have to look at the one i have later, and see if you like it or not ^^

meh, I meant more or less that it is hard to create a full-blown game without free-roaming capabilities :\ . You could set it up in a way that will overcome this, but it won't be a true side-scroller, no biggie there though. I dunno

Gravity is a love/hate relationship with me, not quite sure why though, which reminds me, I need to finish that stupid Graal Smash Bros thing. Thems make for good events, Gravity = the shiz
