16-color mode
I have been in 16-color mode for about a week and a half now due to a problem with either my video card or a display adapter... so until I take my machine to a Gateway Country Store, I can't play Kingdoms, or any server, for that matter. [SARCASM]Just don't miss me too much, ok?[/SARCASM]

Do you have a video card, or is it onboard?
|

E-Machine lol You can probably build one yourself with spare parts in your garage.
|
Ironic too that Gateway bought eMachines.

Yeah, Gateway... apparently 5 years ago it was a formidable contender?
Now, it's crap. I should get a Dell. |

What is hard to understand? Today you need to start with a chassis. From there you add a PSU over 300W. (I highly suggest you do no buy a Generic PSU, for they are cheep, but burn out quickly)
After that, decide if you want a Intel or AMD processor. For gaming, I suggest AMD. Then get a motherboard from ASUS, or another motherboard maker that has a motherboard compatible for your CPU. I also would like to point out that you should get something that supports 8xAGP. :) Then you want some memory. I am getting new kingston sticks soon, but what you get is up to you. Low-end pc2100, or high-end pc3200. Then you get your Harddrive, Floppy drive, and your DVD/CD player/burner, and any other do-dads you want. Next step is to buy a graphics card. ATI or Nvidia. I prefer ATI, and have a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro. (XT is well, too expensive) If you don't feel comfortable installing this hardware I suggest you seek professional asstiance from local computer stores or friends. Oh, and one more thing. You should wait until after the summer for a new computer. PCI Express will be out and will defidently be worth buying. You might even wait until christmas for the prices to drop. Finally, this is an awsome website for benchmarks and whatnot: www.tomshardware.com |

And yes, they are sorta biased, but I dont listen to them about intel. |

More like 90-95%. The difference is negligible at best. |
Are you retarded? There wouldnt be an 8xagp if it was no better than 4x. The difference may seem small to you, but there is a big difference in the quality and performance.

Didnt read the threat at all cause i was to lazy but yeah
maybe just something changed while instaling a game or so ... well -EsCanavi |
I know how to change the color settings... The problem is that when I try to change them, it asks me to restart my computer, and then it either never loads windows, or it does load it, and then a message tells me there is something wrong with my display settings, and that it doesn't work with my hardware... though it should...

Kamuii, spark is trying to make me remove my super troopers sig. :(
