Automatic Log Archiving
The gserver should automatically archive log files when they get bigger than a certain size. The size could be set in server options. This way, no account would need rw logs/* and thus the hackers who are deleting servers right now cant cover their tracks.

Sounds cool.
Logs will grow big with time, so I guess it would be alright to make it so they are killed after half a year, or when they exceed a set size? To prevent the latter being abused we need to limit the amount of logged data. |
perhaps no server option then, although some people have like 10 megs of logs in a week, so dunno

Could make it just do that with rclog and npclog, then nobody would need write rights to those two files. Other logs they could still have rights to.

Sounds nice. So scripts cannot flood and thus overrun the logs, and the most important things are logged anyway. We would need to disable savelog then, though.
