graphical changes
 

If I where to make new graphics for the boats, and edit the ganis properly (and possibly make some other versions of other graphics), what would the odds be that the new graphics and ganis would be uploaded?

Why would you wanna change the boat graphics? They rock a fat one, dude.

because I don't share your opinion.

I think they're realy ugly.

of course, remake and they will upload it just for you, i mean hey if you don't like a graphic, they have to get a new one.

so is it wrong for me to have a different opinion about something?

I never said staff should be compelled to do my evil bidding, I just want to know if I try to submit a change, if there is even a chance it'll be even looked at and considered.

I'm not saying they should change things because I said so, I'm saying is I would like to make an effort to contribute to the server, and hopefully make it a little nicer.

Well...you can always over-write it for personal use but if they are notice-ably better and liked by many I can upload them to the respective gani+gfx folders on debug and possibly get Stefan to transfer them over to GK.

If they look good, post the graphics.

While we're at it, I think Loriel mentioned it once, the player's setfocus should be at least at the boat's center if possible, otherwise you can hardly see the front on a small screen.

Would it be possible to make it so the boats look different based on the kingdom they were made from (not just the sail)? That would be fun, too.

You're the one making these new graphics, buddy, i think you'd know the answer to this before us o_O

lol, my answer would be no by remaking the existing graphics because I suspect the body of the boats to be the same image.

When I asked the question, I was more (badly) imply/asking if any existing staff would care to help change the existing boats so the body of it could change, not just the sail... etcetc....

but whatever, I'm just gonna try to make new sails and main part first, so just ignor that ^^.

I think someone already thought about that, but I'm not sure... it would be nice to create larger and smaller boats... if done right to keep people from building a boat straight across main ocean...

Actually I suggested having the focus, at least for the one steering the ship, considerably in front of the ship.
I could not get it to work though.

I don't see why it wouldn't work... though that would be annoying unless you where steering the thing.

Bigger and smaller boats would be fun, that way one could make a quick raft to get to thier favorite island, than have to build a whole war ship.
