Houses
Could there be a house reset or something? there are just too many of them now days. If you go to your kingdom house its really hard to find your house in the middle of like 100 others.
And if there was there should be like awarning 3 weeks in advance or something, because there are TOO MANY theres enough for like 3 houses per person on graal, if you counted them all up. |
If the people don't maintain them, then they break, and disappear.
|
Yeah, those houses are obviously being used if they're still standing...
|
then couldn't there be an upgrade for house so they can have an extra storage?
Because its quite bothersome >.> It would be nice having your house and storage as basement, and the normal level as shop. |
those built houses arent the real problem...
the unfinished ones are! they dont decay and they cant be moved by people with H right... btw: i like the storage basement idea... |
I have no problem with the houses, and removing them will destroy not only the hard work of many, but also their items stored inside - no matter how long you warn, there is more inside than anyone can carry, I'd say - that's the point of houses, after all.
I agree though that unfinished houses should decay, like lose what has been added to them, then crumble. |
Hmm...you know, if you want to find your house, you can just use your map and hover your mouse over the houses until you find it, or place a marker, or if you know whereabouts it is but can't find it onscreen, rightclick the houses until your account name pops up!
Plus i really like the basement idea! It's simple and practical. We should have to pay resources like someone suggested....or we should have to sit there and dig with our shovel for 20 minutes to dig out the basement ***** |
yah, like have a basement storage level, the middle "shop" level, and then anothe upgrade, the upstairs Regular house area...
|
you should be able to add more floors, basement levels, and perhaps more rooms on the existing floor.
Also, I say it would be nice if there was a designated 'yard' area, where someone can't just run up and destroy your fences you spent an hour to get all the stone for. A house resset would be pointless, as people would just rebuild their houses... just do what I do, and build away from everyone else, and near some distinct landmark... Also, it would be nice if the castles could be renovated a bit... there should be some rooms that you'll need special rights to get into, or others that only members of your kingdom (and not your allies) can get into. For storage, etc, you know? |
I don't think there should be additional rooms and stories (except a basement) without additional gfx, and they should require a huge ammount of rescources so not everyone can have a castle. Also, to my knowledge, adding additional levels there is quite hard, and building a new house easier.
|
yah, if they changed the house script so there would be more floors, they migth have to do a resset, lest the find a clever way to do it.
As for additional floors and rooms, buidling the extra rooms should take the same amount of work if its on the ground floor, and for basements and additional stories, it should be a different kind of work (ie: mining/digging and then adding stones to the walls for basements, and making platforms to walk on for the upper floors, before the upper floor can be worked on)... Also, the upkeep could be steepened so you have to work harder to maintain it, and if one part crumbles then all the floors above it colaps (or replace it o.O, ie first floor falls into the basement)... As for the additional houses, it could become more expensive for each land deed you buy, or perhaps the individual kingdoms should intervine, and tax its players for more houses. ... I don't think that its wrong for players to have impressive houses, as your not at the lowest rung in society when you're at level 12, for example... and by that, I mean higher level players have this incredible tendancy to have insane wealth (by my standards, atleast... I don't know about you guys, but I still think serveral K in plat is a lot). |

^^ country side works for me... thats where mine is, more or less.
Maby the further away you are from other houses, the more additions you can have. If you're in the middle of town, you can have a first floor and a basement. As for the social status, the king COULD be level 1, and the slave could be level 100, but the slave could just look at the king, and the king would die, and then the slave would take the throne, or w/e. My point realy was that people who have higher levels often have an obsurd amount of cash to throw around. Lots of money often is statusable. |

I think towns would be better defined by how close you are to buildings that are close to other buildings... that way towns could expand.
... I aggree, the level shouldn't determine anything in the social order, but in some ways it does. ... Depends on your definition of sitting around. In game they work their asses off. out of game.. hehehe... right... |

I think kingdom islands shoiuld have the pre-defined towns with maybe a few playerhouses to fit in, then 2-3 playertowns with a well, and either a windmill and bakery or a lumbermill, with bigher houses, maybe, and then houses in the countryside, with more extensions possible, something like that. Otherwise, it would get too crowded. |
I aggree. I don't consider myself rich in the server, though I do consider myself well off. I try to help out newbies with gifts, as it makes me happy to know someone is welcomed and apreciated.
As for what you said about towns, I supose that works. *added* oh! oh! if new shops and bakeries could apear based on the density of houses, that would be cool, as for with wells and etc (though for wells, thats more of a natural resource, and to what I know natural resource availability is not determined by population, but quite the oposite). |

well, regardless of if a script or a kingdom leader places them, it would be cool to see some non-houses apear in populated areas.
|
I agree, a well at least shouldn't be that much of a problem, and I believe windmills, bakeries and lumbermills can be negotiated, too.

But your comment is truthful in virtually all respects. |
If you start to stock up on flaming swords platemails and warrior helmets of mass and great mass, you reach the limits of your strength pretty fast ;)
