Playerworlds = Borering?
 

Ive found that many of the Playerworlds are now, VERY borering. The only two "OK" servers, seem to be Delteria, and Babylon (How the feck?!) and even those servers get borering. Kingdoms has never changed, you go around killing nameless enemys, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Also borering.

To Staff: We need something to do, that brings playerworlds, back to the fun **** days, when you were amased by everything you saw ("OMFG LOOK A LIHGT SOOOO COOL WOW!!!")

Ideas? (Seems the Graalympus are not comeing back no matter how hard a try =X)

Everyone has different taste I guess. Personally I dislike Delteria and Babylon. Kingdoms, Graal 2001, Era, Zone, Graal: The Adventure = <3

I'm hoping that some of the new player rented servers can bring new life to Graal. I guess we still have a while to wait though.

Graal The Adventures will get quite a few new Events when we get an NPC Server. Stefan told us we'd get it January. we'll thats just like stefan, its febuary. no npc server

I agree to the first part, which is why I started my own server almost a year and a half ago

And from what I remember, Graalympus was only ment to be done once a year...

PS. EoA will be opening it's evens area to the public in a week or so

so you can see more of the tileset (new sand and water that almost no-one has seen yet), and our hp/sp system, maybe players will be able to test our sword system, as well as 11 events, like 14 events prizes, and other games.

X..with the way things are looking, we're not going to have an NPC Server..even though we desperately need it, as new quests/items/etc. would be very nice to have..but, once again, we get shafted.

Stefan, quit being lazy, k? Remember, we're what made Graal what it is today. :[

Erm... Yes that's gtrue that most playerworlds are boring, but you must realise that most GAMES are boring as well.

This comes from teh fact that everything follows the same pattern, and then the PWs that break the patter get poorly copied (e.g. Graal 2001 and then the mass of "Jobs" on all playerworlds).

Not to fear however, there are a few promising Playerworlds in the future. So many have been dropped though :( (Graal2230 looked oh so good).

You're thinking of something totally different though. The things you found amazing at the time, are still there today. You just don't find them amazing anymore because they aren't new.

It's not like it's easy to just whip out content that people will enjoy for a long period of time. Most stuff that is made has to be made within a time limit, so that people don't get too "bored".

My server should satisfy you for a while, but it's going to take a while for me to finish, and you might be amazed the first month, and then you'll just think all of it is boring again.

Staff are not just robots. They don't pump out new things for you to do every single day. If it was that easy to make fun stuff, why isn't there more of it? Give us a break.

Babylon, Delteria and UN are boring all you do is spar or do events o_O

Wow finally someone agrees....Graal like all other games is boring cause once you beat everything on the server you get bored cause there is nothing left to do. I am like that with every game. I don't see how some people can get like 2000 hours on one server. That is seriously a sense of sitting around paused all the time or someone who just doesn't have a life. Sorry to those people that have that many hours on servers but come on. Anyways for some odd reason I have taken a liking to N-Pulse. It will prolly only last awhile but oh well it something that I enjoy playing on graal.

It's not like everyone plays to simply do everything and leave. A lot of people just like hanging out with their friends in the game. I really dislike people that go around saying who has a life and who doesn't. Nobody has the right to decide what kind of life someone lives.

I'll never forget that one guy that left Graal and posted his goodbye on the forums, and said something about how he has a life now, because he waves at people on his jet ski, instead of playing Graal.

The problem is that servers have become so wrapped up in trying to look the best, getting all these fancy npcs out, getting all these nice levels out, making so many events that they forget to add some community-type stuff. "Social" servers are dead. I hope some servers can bring in more community type things such as apartment renting xone style. That owned :x

No I have nothing against people that play this game all the time. I respect everyone in this game. Seriously though....this game has a lot of things that make it boring. But before it gets said....."No I will not quit cause I like this game." And what keeps me here is the community of people. Most of my AIM Buddylist is people from Graal. So you know you make tons of friends and buddies over time. I am still looking forward to Oasis, Koni. Anyways, I just wish servers would become more than just sparring, events, and chatting. I see more people paused on pws than actually playing. Oh well though just my opinion

I have near 4000 hours on Npulse

I think people's intentions have changed also. Back then people used to make things for fun, but then after a while people started stealing crap (ideas, npcs, etc) just to compete with each other.

we are getting our NPC Sever hopefully this year, Stefan said our deadline was expanded. Its been expanded since last AUGUST

I know the most hours i ever managed to get was about 3000 On Mithica

On most Classic servers (Babylon, N-Pulse, Delteria, UN, ect.), people play there for the social interaction more than for "fun things" on the server :o
If you removed every method of communication between players, only servers like GK, Era, and Zone would still be fun.

Back in the day you didn't have to be online to script.

Still don't I guess, but now i'ts more important to be.

Just about every MMORPG would crumble and fall apart if you were to completely remove player communication.

Why don't you just be patient and wait for us skilled managers and scripters to actually make something...

If you are just gonna complain then get a job and do something to fix it. You will see what I mean.

Not sure about, "Skilled" Managers. Most of the Managers in the UC servers, are jsut coping other servers (Mainly Era for some odd reason) because they simply cannot think up something with some orginality.


And by borering I mean, that all the servers bore the hell out of me now. Theres nothing to do. PKing got old, because everyone sucks. Sparring you have to be elite, so spars wear me down quite a bit.

And everytime I get a job, and actually do it, I get in trouble with my fellow "Staff" members about it. *Shrugs*
