loading time
 

This is strange.
Before I reinstalled my operating system (WinXP), Graal loaded in maybe 10-15 seconds. Now after reinstallation, it takes about double the time.
It is quite annoying.
Is there anything I can do to make Graal load quicker? Thanks for your input.

Do something fun so it seems that it's faster.

Really, no. I think Stefan is trying to find a sulution to this problem.

Try running disk defrag, it may help speed up things.

Not true. I used to have windows xp pro as well and even when I turned off file indexing, it was still as slow as hell.

I found out that my problem was that I had too many files (webgifs, heads, shields, etc). After I got my new computer Graal loads much faster ( im on windows 2000 pro right now ) but it still takes a while. Indexing off, decent CPU speed and such. I think it's simply because of the amount of files.

A old version (2 version's back) it loaded really fast for me :o, in like 3 seconds of double clicking it, now it takes about 40 seconds :P

I timed mine, it took about 28 seconds to open. :o Though it did load faster before.

O i have winxp pro. Well wen i start mine its pretty slow but after a few times of closing Graal and reopening it becomes a lot quicker =)
