I think your directions are messed up 0.o; And the blade is too jagged with some of the angles.

i fixed the direction numbers and i think i fixed the jaggedness.

Nitkizi 01-30-2004 01:57 AM

The ones to the immediately left and right of straight graphics are still way too jagged.

haunter 01-30-2004 01:58 AM

Actually try not using a black outline. Black outlines are for pansies. :)

Myomoto 01-30-2004 05:11 PM

Unless you want a cartoonish look that is ;) yeah, make a dark colored outline, it makes the shading "blend" better in with the rest of the graphic

If I'm not mistaken, I thought Katana's were curved...

Muha_builder 01-30-2004 09:29 PM

well they are curved at the end (sharp side)
but not at the blunt side

no, I ment the whole thing is curved...

I own one, and it's curved o.o and all the Katana's I've ever seen have been curved....

http://store6.yimg.com/I/kendobogu_1774_6173587

like that

Muha_builder 01-30-2004 10:47 PM

yes i have one similiar to that one but im 100% sure you have you straight katana's too i think katana is just the name for the technique to craft the sword soft core, hard blade.

As far as I'm concerned, you're referring to scimitars.

R0bin 01-31-2004 01:43 PM

funny, my friend does kendo and his katana is straight, with only a slight curve at the top O.o

Myomoto 01-31-2004 02:04 PM

Most katanas i have seen are curved,

Monkeyboy_McGee 01-31-2004 08:23 PM

Aren't there like a bajillion different variations of all the forms of martial arts? There are probably variations of the sword-wielding ones that use straight edges, and some that use curved edge. I know nothing though

I was looking at katanas online awhile ago though, and below each one that places were selling it said like "made from <something something alloy>, and cannot be used for cutting purposes. This may damage the blade. It can only be used for training purposes" So i was like 'Where's the fun in that? I want to go slicing branches off trees and stuff :('

Myomoto 02-01-2004 01:45 PM

Wtf? Show the sword some respect man, you don't use a katana to cut down branches!

I missed out the respect part to cut a post short (ahahah, cut, d'ya get it? ;) ). And like, you can't exactly cut people with them anymore, so what else would you cut? (of course i know these swords are just for training in the arts and such, but y'know...)

WanDaMan 02-01-2004 05:25 PM

It looks good, thumbs up.

What do you mean with that you can't cut people with them anymore?

You're saying swords weren't invented for killing people? That'd be like saying pens weren't invented for writing with =x

Myomoto 02-03-2004 06:10 PM

Eh what?
One person said you couldn't use a sword to kill a man with anymore these days... :whatever:

Yes, it was me. I think you interpreted what i said wrong. I meant that you aren't -allowed- to do it anymore, except in some war or something but due to guns, you can't get close enough to do that anyway =x

Myomoto 02-03-2004 07:43 PM

You sure don't seem to know the arts of stealth ;)

Ever tried, when attacking some guys inside a bunker with a machine gun, while you're getting shelled at and attacked from choppers and planes in the air and stuff, plus being shot at from troops charging at you, just running around to behind the bunker just to slice them? I somehow doubt it'd be possible. ;)

Myomoto 02-03-2004 09:55 PM

Well, you could hide yourself under a bush! And when one of them gets out to buy milk you could chop him down! And after some time you would have killed them all!!! ... ... ... Guess not ._.
