Zone?
 

So I heard Loriel was deleting scripts or something from Zone, and then Dell got mad and deleted everything on Zone because he was tired of the GST messing with his scripts, and now Zone is gone forever.

Is that what happened?

If that is what happened then the GST need to learn from it :O

Edit: Well the server isn't loading so I guess thats right.

As far as I know the server is still up and Stefan as well as Angel were scripting on Zone so I seriously doubt that is the case.



Ok I just looked and you may be right , everything there is deleted , what happened I don't know but it does seem it is gone.:\

I think there was other servers that deserved to go up ahead of that anyways, it twas angel that got it up.

Judging from his comments, I guess he did it because I decided to remove one of the scripts I made because the Zone staff, probably Dell again, kept leaving silly comments in it. That is probably why Dell deleted everything else, dunno
Stefan has backups.

I think it needed more work before it went public anyways....

seemes like they went public for a week, just so they could go back private, and allow normal accounts on, so they could do work too...

which I don't think is fair... I mean, I could put EoA upf ro a week, then take it down too, but that's lame

One suggestion: Running GTA style (16 directions, left and right to rotate - up to go forth.) <---Would also improve bullet shots.

I loved Zone..
I went on there when I was bored and everytime I was bored I just went back and had fun. Now that it's gone I am bored a lot :(

I'd hope that the mods would not ban him for that.... I'd understand more if his sig was simply removed, and he was given an official warning... then if he did it again, whack him with the ban hammer

If "they" were able to fix things up on zone, then it would be a GOOD reason to upgrade to classic asap.

What they should have had was

1) More fun and cool things that is hard to get

2) Lower Lag

and

3) Better bodies..

better guns would have been a plus. Sometimes those diagnol shots pissed me off. Anywho, it was a nice server. Hope it magically comes back.

Graal backups ALL servers , problem is most of the time it's not current so I wouldn't rely on Backups from Graal. The one and only time Npulse was deleted , we uploaded all the current levels and Stefan turned around and reuploaded old levels on top of them. Ehh so we had to do it all over again. *shrugs*

My apologies. Not actually playing the game, I have become somewhat unfamiliar with playerworld rules.
Still, people don't do it themselves.

It's one time to much.

We do daily backups of all servers. There were problems two months ago but they are all fixed. So if there are problems then I can contact unixmad and we can restore the stuff. Since this will probably a few days it's still better to keep some backups yourself in case you are doing some bigger change in scripts or so.

Where the heck did you get that quote? Did you just take words and paste them together? Not only did you butcher the quote till it makes no sense, but it isnt clear as to what you are answering to. If you are going to quote something, quote it correctly, and dont completely change the words around, or pick out words and put them together diffferently...I hate when people do that.....

Dell got tired of the global scripting team breaking/deleting scripts so he killed the server and deleted all the content to make sure it was not stolen *cough newworld cough*.

I think it was wrong to globally ban him because after all if it were not for Dell Zone would not be here and every feature of the playerworld came from him. he had every right to delete what was his. But who am I to say..:\
