CPU Usage 100%
When I open Graal, my CPU Usage jumps to 100%. Is this normal? Even when im on the starting menu it's at 100% and brings my poor little amd athlon 2700+ to 65 C..then again it's always like that when cpu usage is at max.
Specs- AMD Athlon 2700+ @ 2.17ghz Arctic Cooling Copper Silient 2 Rev 2 256DDR PC2700 Original Apacer ATI Radeon 7500LE 64DDR PCI <-- sucks I know ASUS A7V8X-X(LAN) Windows 2000 Pro Yes my drivers and bios are updated. |
I was told long ago (when I brought this point up) that Graal is designed to use all available CPU speed. I forget the reasoning, but I believe it was a sound one.

Ugh. It will be hard for me to play graal then. I dont want my Processor burning itself up. Is there a way to lower the CPU Usage for graal? I dont think graal needs 2.17 GHZ.

All DirectX based applications do this.

Yes it is actually not using the cpu, just waiting for doing good timing so the game doesn't look jumpy. Windows is displaying the used cpu time wrong I guess, at least I could start more than 30 Graals on my computer.
