You can use non-organic items as bait to fish, however, after you catch a fish with the non-organic bait, it gets dropped under the ship and you can pick it back up if you get in the right position. The only disadvantage is that you need to be quick to pick the non-organic bait back up (it hurts the boat).

This is, I guess, a sort of exploit, not too helpfull, but it is there.

This post on the forums also bugged... it doesn't show as the latest post in the main forum view... :o

2002 Bugs forum, or the entire forum, seems to be having some serious problems, I keep getting errors!

Major major bug in fishing... either that or potential of a better fishing rod? Koi fish... they are different from regular fish because they don't respond to bait... and they cannot be caught... This is the mystery red-orange colored fish that is needed to make Sushi.

Fish should only be caught with worms in my opinion.

I saw someone standing on the shore swinging his axe at a fish and killing it. Maybe you can try doing it that way to get that fish?

Not while they're in the water...

Besides, you can catch fish without bait entirely, so...

What the hell...these things actually exist? o_o

Umm, it was at the docks going to CP near Hotaru. He was standing at the end of the docks and a blue fish came near him. He took out his axe and swung 2-3 times and the fish's life went down like it was on land being attacked.

Looks like just another non-working sushi red fish to me ^^

Hm... I doubt he got the fish... I know you can attack fishes in the water, like roasting them with lightning, but you won't get them as far as I know...

Of course they are, just go to the event isle and wander the shores until you come across a large group of fish. You can kill them, charm them, etc... but since they die in the water you don't get the fish, and when charmed they won't follow you to a different map (like all other monsters), so no sushi anytime soon. :(

And uh... I hate those ******* Koi fish -.- THEY cant be caught... i tried most the baits i had one day... no go.. got 200 of every other fish rofl

I don't even use bait and I can catch a load of 'em.
