Well I spent a few minutes on it, I got the idea from a picture bloo kat made a while ago.. Should I continue it?
|
I like it you should continue it for sure!
|
Nothing that unique. You should lighten up the color in the handle so you can work in some more detail

What do you mean its nothing that unique?! Add more detail? Have you not looked at it up close? |
I actually agree with Ghetto.

It looks ok, nothing special. Just a star wars light saber. o_O; |
It needs to glow... It looks like a big pink stick right now.

donald was listening to hyperlimbo music earlier.... im scared of how unique this is gonna be |

But um Donald I've never seen such a dark colored light. You should brighten up the outer colors of the "light" part of the light saber. |

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE>!?!? |
That does not look too bad to me but to be a real lightsaber, it needs is a subtle glow effect radiating from the edges of the beam. Making something like that would require partial transparency support, which Graal currently does not support which I hope they will sometime in the near future.
I played around with the latest post of your lightsaber Donald and decided to see if I could find a way to get the beam to glow right using the current versions of graal. Without partial transparency support, there is no true way of getting effects like the one I made into Graal. Here is a screenshot taken from Photoshop so you can all see the glow effect and I am sharing the Photoshop file itself if you want to look at the glow effect and alpha channel on your end. Screen capture from Photoshop: http://www.end-of-ages.com/hosted/ky...osaberglow.png Photoshop file seen in the picture: http://www.end-of-ages.com/hosted/ky...osabertest.psd Maybe Graal will support partial trans in the near future; at least I can dream it will anyway. ;) Working on EoA Graphics, |

Nice job, I would of done that too but graal doesnt support it so I didn't see a need. It does support lights so if you could make that glow but as a light and put it in a gani then you could get the same effect. |
I sure you could have Donald but the edit only took a few minutes and I wanted to see how it would look glowing. :)
What is the point of knowing how to do complex image effects if I cannot even use simple partial trans and blended alpha channels on Graal? :( I guess I have gotten spoiled working on video and advertising graphics and forget that the graal engine cannot support some of the things that I take for granted when working on those types of images. ;) |
